Teachers behaving badly

Except your timeline left off when teachers started teaching things like "girls can have a penis". It is disingenuous for you to not even admit that is a factor in the blowback against public schools. I've never been more happy to homeschool my kids and be with them 24/7 given the alternative.
I don't think that you know what disingenuous means. I am not being dishonest (that is what it means), literally before that 2 month "break" teachers were heroes.

There was no school over the summer

Some teachers expressed concerns about DYING at school and thought maybe we should remote teach

You parents LOST your minds! I don't blame you! (this is how you know I am being honest) kids are ANNOYING 24/7, I totally get it. It would have just been great if you dongs admitted that! Just say "Oh my god, teachers, PLEASE, no more remote learning, you really are heroes, are kids are annoying AF, we can't do this 24/7"

You don't homeschool your kids, you go to work, right? Be honest.

I think most jobs were back to working by August of that year. Restaurants were open, all retail was operational, football games were full of fans - but some teachers didn’t want to do their job and people were annoyed.

I’m sure some of the outrage had to do with having the kids home. The other concerns were kids falling behind and the virtual learning was a joke - not because of anyone’s effort but rather there was no tried and true method of instruction.

So it had nothing to do with gender swapping?

I mean, most jobs are remote today, still (that is insane and I am 100% against it and anyone that says they are more productive at home is a ****ing liar)

Work from home and coach them every night of the week. 247, brother.

You guys should see the tranny and CRT stuff I sneak into AP Calc.

It has taken me awhile to master the art of sneaking it into the curriculum, and if I was a private school teacher I wouldn’t be able to, but since I’m a public school teacher, I’ve made it work and now all of my students are trannys!!!

I have had maybe 5-10 trans kids the last 10 years in classes. Always girls to boys. The kids and others in classes were always awesome towards the klds. Zero issues in class at all. Its the adults that seem to have the issues. The ones outside of the buildings. Nowhere is trans identity being taught or really even talked about. People just seem to go about their day learning the usual curriculum.

Agree with at home productivity and so do many large companies as they are making calls to get people back to work.

I worked from home for 2 months and it was A JOKE!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED it, but, I woke up about 3 minutes before "work", I ran errands, I napped, I went to the gym, I went to appointments, I went shopping, I went for walks, I basically did all the shit I wanted to do.

I know the work from home dorks love to be like "When I go to the office I get less done because people bother me" but clearly that is BS. It is not like the work from home dorks are telling their friends "Guess what, now that I work from home, I am actually doing MORE for my company"

Just, stop. the work from home dorks love it because it is awesome FOR THEM. That is a good thing, just own it.

I am sure there are some people disciplined enough for it to be a benefit to work from home. The larger majority I’m sure is less productive.

I guess it depends on the situation. Some jobs could probably be done 100% remote. Others could be hybrid and others no possible way. You can't run a metal shear from home or flip a burger from home.

I guess if I was the boss I wouldn't mind giving certain employees the ability to be hybrid. In return I would expect them to take their computer with them on vacations and weekends to be available in an emergency or check in atleast 1 time per day for important messages

When my team is on vacation I want them to unplug, refresh and focus on family and friends.

If you have good metrics to track productivity working from home can be effective.

I think flexible remote work is the best for most people. There are times where my wife's work wants her to put in extra hours of computer work. She usually does that from home. She doesn't want to sit at the office until 8pm and not see the kids, but she's willing to sit on the couch and do it. Same for a kids dentist appointment at 10 am. She can get in a couple hours of computer work before taking them.

What fraction of your day is wasted when you work from home?
95% of my work hours are work related, plus I work longer, earlier and later and a little on weekends, because I don't have to commute and it's right there.

Not everyone can do it well. I do.

I can tell you exactly when us teachers became "the bad guys"

When Covid hit and kids had to learn from home...us teachers were "heroes", there were videos posted all over showing students and parents driving by their teachers house just to wave at them, to honk their horn and thank them for all they did. There were drive by and walk by graduations, just so teachers could once again see their students.

There were thank you videos to teachers and cards sent, all to those "heroes"

That was in March and until May, a few short months of those students learning from home.

Then August his and in American there were still well over 1000 people dying per day and almost all jobs that COULD switch did switch to Work From Home.

But now, those same parents that called us heroes had been stuck at home with their kids, 24/7 since the end of March and they were NOT about to do that again.

When the first group of teachers mentioned that they might be a bit worried about returning to the classroom with students, well, the shit hit the fan.

Those parents realized they hated being at home all day with their kids, not because they don't love their kids but because it is ****ing annoying to be with them 24/7.

So what did they do? They attacked teachers. Now teachers were just being "lazy" because they did not want to have kids in person. Teachers were making it "political" because they did not want to have kids in person. Teachers were attacked for "only working 9 months a year" it was crazy but parents did not care, they just did not want to have their kids home from 730 to 330 5 days a week.

So when it started? It started that August.
I do not remember teachers being called "heroes" during the beginning of covid. Why would they? Teaching remotely didn't make them heroic.

In fall of 2020 into 2021, parents didn't want their kids at home anymore, not because they were annoyed with them at home, but people started to realize that their kids were going to start seriously suffering with remote learning and still not being able to go out and do anything else. The covid psychos still wanted everything shut down but would concede, somewhat, with schools being opened back up (again, due to kids learning & social wellbeing).

At this point, I do remember many lefties & teachers union start calling teachers "heroes" because they were now "exposing themselves in front of dozens of kids, therefore in grave danger." People were starting to wake up to the Covid bs that healthy people under the age of 65 were almost completely safe ESPECIALLY nearly all school aged kid. This is where teachers became the "bad guys".

The only teachers that were actual heroes were those who didn't complain about going back to school, who didn't force social distancing & masks in class rooms and those teachers over the age of 65 (because they were actually at a higher risk worth being concerned over).

Teachers were considered front line heroes during big bad terrible COVID, but now we're dogshit again.
Front line for working behind a computer at first? Then front line with forced social distancing, masks and in many cases, plexiglass around elementary students desks? From something that kids were hardly even testing positive for, lol.

The "heroes" thing started because your kids were at home and parents had to deal with them 24/7 so all of a sudden parents were like "Oh my god, I could never do what teachers do, they are heroes". blah blah blah

Have you ever been in a classroom?

The idea that elementary students just sit nicely in their desk all day and keep their masks on all day is insane.

Good lord, those kids still pee themselves, throw up on the floor, poop themselves and start crying for their Mom...but you think they were totally non-germy and kept their hands, breath, sneezes, coughs and grossness to themselves?

They shouldn't have spent that time trying to keep those masks on. If teachers spent the time doing that, that's on them.

My oldest was in 1st grade at the time & before we got a mask waiver, but his teacher didn't waste her time making sure masks were always on.

The latter has always been the case. So I'm not sure what your point was?

I can't wait to change some genders tomorrow!!! haha
I never said anything about gender change.

Just that your recollection as to why teachers were deemed "heroes" is wrong and my recollection is correct.

My point was just being right, as usual. We went from heroes to lazy piles of shit, because parents hated the idea of having their kids home again.

And, unless you were the teacher, you really don't know what that teacher was doing, you are just guessing...

It isn't, but that is okay.

Why did they hate the idea of their children being home? Your reasoning of "parents hated being at home all day with their kids because it is ****ing annoying to be with them 24/7" is 100% false and stupid.

Parents hated the idea of their children being home is because their kids had to learn and they needed to learn in-person. Not remote. Both teachers (under 65 and relatively healthy) and students were safe, but the Covid nazis weren't having it. Which unfortunately included a bunch of teachers and the teachers union (hence why teachers started getting a bad rap)
.

It is 100% true

Look...you just said you have a kid. You know how it goes, summer hits you love it. August hits and you go "Wow, it is time for school to start up again" you are wiped out you don't hate your kid, you hate trying to fill the day.

Everyone started working from home and parents did not want to be with their kids 24/7. It is okay to admit that.

Wrong. It's not because we were "annoyed" with them. It's because we knew the importance of them being in school was, in-person and NOT remote.

Teachers union, many teachers (at least the loud ones), many politicians & crazy covid freaks didn't want in-person to start back up or wanted insane covid rules enforced. How did anyone get surprised when bad teachers & school administration got push back from the public?

Have you EVER once been annoying with your kid(s) while they were at home?

I teach in a self contained behavior classroom. I only have 8 kids in my class. Even with only 8 kids, guess who has the lowest percentage of absent students every day, week, month, grading period, semester and year. My kids will come in sniffling and sneezing, body aches, flu like symptoms, but they never have a fever because their parents load them up on a rotating cocktail of Tylenol, Motrin or Advil. But I can promise you the parents aren't doing that to make sure they are getting in person learning.
