Stanley Morgan Jr misdemeanor drug possession?

Two things...#1...i dont care if you smoke it, its illegal in most states period and you damn sure better not be using it in a car even if it is legal, dunno if he was using it or not but i bet he was recently if officer could smell it. You play football, no reason to be in this situation. Having said that theres no way hes kicked off the team....no way.

#2 and i think more importantly, do NOT give me a bunch of sob stories about how college athletes should be gettng paid to play when hes on vacation in florida and buying weed. Funny how all these poor abused athletes always find enough money to stay high all the time.
(Fyi i believe players should be able to make money off personal jersey sales, advertisements used by university or others, etc. i just dont think colleges should have to pay them, a free education and stipend is enough and you ruin college ball if universities pay players. And we obviously dont need to)

I had to google the conversion, but 21 grams = .74 ounces. Less than an ounce in Nebraska isn't even a jail-able offense yet its a felony in Florida? Its a simple cite and release with a $100 and court cost fine. If that happened here, nobody would have likely even knew it happened if he just paid the ticket.
Its illegal. Dont ****in do it, especially driving atound in a car runnin stop signs. It is 100% his fault. But it merits only a short suspension.

Also, "police saw Morgan's Mazda sedan with Nebraska plates fail to come to a proper complete stop as it exited a 7-Eleven at 3:41 p.m on May 6th." Must have been a slow day for the police.

Two key words: Nebraska plates.

Try driving a van with California plates east through Lancaster County on I-80 sometime. Better have your license and registration handy.

Damn metric system, I always have to do a conversion. Why couldn't they just say 0.8 oz? Even back in the day (1978) the Lincoln police wouldn't do anything to you for under an oz unless something else was going on or you copped an attitude The campus police were a different story, they wanted to run you in for red eyes.

Hopefully HCMR didn't do like the coach in Dazed and Confused and make all the players sign pledges that they wouldn't smoke MJ, drink, or hang out with "knuckleheads" over the summer or they couldn't play in the fall.

Jesus people it's weed. Everyone smokes it. This is a non issue and I hope Riley handles this the right way. Suspend him for the 1st quarter and move on.
I don't, but that's just because I don't care for it much. I have no issue with those that do, except if it effects their work when I am around them.

Misdemeanor vs felony is a big deal. Hopefully some of the posters including OP will amend their posts.

Jazz cigarettes are a dead end. Reefer madness is real. Stanley, please, get help.

Somebody on another board said 21 grams was about 40 joints. For Cheech and Chong it would have been two joints.

Kicked off the team for misdemeanor weed charge?? Hell no! Punishment and suspension for a game or two, by all means. Its The correct thing to do. Like most i dont smoke weed and dislike it. But like most i have no issue with it, as its simular to drinking. Just dont smoke and drive. And come on now, sooner or later all states will have weed being legal soon enough. Just Nebraska and there old school leaders may delay us till the very end. But i agree, till then our players have to be smarter about there off season fun or pleasures.

Ill go on record and say i do want Morgan off our team, even with this mistake, i still want him as our starting WR. He needs to have spanking and get grounded by daddy Riley lol (which i mean game or two suspended) but no way in hell should he get booted from the team. Would Be over the top and stupid.
