I imagine some NFL teams share your astonishment and his stupidity could cost him money.... Has a picture of Nate Gerry going to the combine... Must say I'm not over his stupidity yet

He's not a very good tackler. He was never going in the upper rounds. Those repeatedly-bumped threads GUAR-ONNN-TEEing that Gerry would go in the first two rounds seem like a million years ago.
It would probably be easier to find a photo of Bigfoot. It would be a real find if you had a picture of him going to class.
Why are Nebraska fans so quick to hate a player they loved 2 months before. He didn't want to go to class so what. The dude knows he's going pro so why not just focus on football and make yourself as prepared as possible for the next level. 4 year starter, never had a problem with class before, never in any legal trouble. I thank Gerry for what he did here and wish him nothing but the best for the future.
Amen brotherThere are a ton of people on here that act like the dude kicked their dog and then went and drank their beer from the fridge. There will be ten times as many posting the first pick he makes and throws the bones. Probably some of the same people.
His academic failure is on him. It was his decision to pack it in. The academic assistance process was a success for a lot of other kids. Nate failed Nate.Yeah, I don't get it. The guy was arguably our best player on defense, and we're ripping him?? Yeah, it wasn't smart to not go to class, and pretty selfish on his part, and it was embarrassing for our school, but why do we continue piling on the guy? If anything, I'm more pissed at our academic monitoring process for letting him get away with not going to class.
I wish the guy the absolute best. I hope he shifts gears and tears it up in the NFL. He did WAY more for NU football than most; I couldn't do what he did and does. Why are Nebraska fans so quick to hate a player they loved 2 months before. He didn't want to go to class so what.
