Hard to draw up a better start, if you're being realistic.
Yeah but, Raiola....or something.
I don't know who was saying Rhule doesn't like to recruit, I think most people just didn't know or have an opinion when he was first announced. But it certainly does seem like he enjoys and is very active in the recruiting process. I don't think he'd be taking time to post those cryptic tweets or be as well-received in recruits homes if he didn't enjoy it. I suspect like a workaholic he's relieved to be fully occupied now after his firing from Carolina.Hard to draw up a better start, if you're being realistic.

In fairness, no one likes to recruit. It's the grind you have to embrace.Hard to draw up a better start, if you're being realistic.
Hard to draw up a better start? That is a gross over-exaggeration. The start has been a mixed bag. Some of the guys landed will be immediate contributors (Princewill U.) and some guys will never see the field in any meaningful capacity (J. Lloyd, B. Knutson, B. Turner)Hard to draw up a better start, if you're being realistic.

Haason Reddick was a walk on track guy at Temple. Matt knew he was a good football coach that can teach kids the game. He knows he can't teach athleticism. Reddick was a 1st round draft pickI think the knock on him was more about his "diamond in the rough" approach which didn't lend to high recruiting rankings. Consistently in the 30s at Baylor.
He has already taken some fliers on some kids and it wasn't like they were last second additions.
The track athlete approach to the skill players is an interesting strategy. I personally think Jaylen Lloyd is going to be a great player.

If your "analysis" is so good why are you hanging out on a free board instead of having people pay you for your analysis and takes? Oh that's right it's because you're a fraud.Hard to draw up a better start? That is a gross over-exaggeration. The start has been a mixed bag. Now that I do recall seeing those type of comments.I think the knock on him was more about his "diamond in the rough" approach which didn't lend to high recruiting rankings. Consistently in the 30s at Baylor.

I don't know who was saying Rhule doesn't like to recruit,
When he got hired some people, here and other places said he didn't like to recruit. People said he was unkempt and slovenly. People said he drooled and spit on himself on the sidelines. I'm thinking wow, who the hell has Trev foisted on us? Then he came out for his first presser in a suit and red tie and orated, not spoke but orated about Nebraska making him cry as a kid. I suspected then that there were some Nebraska folks who had an axe to grind by spreading false information.I don't know who was saying Rhule doesn't like to recruit, I think most people just didn't know or have an opinion when he was first announced. Well if people had an anti-recruiting impression of Rhule just a little research would have quickly quieted those fears. Rhule was very well received and liked by Texas high school coaches during his stint at Baylor. And just about all of the assistants he hired for Nebraska had been recruiting coordinators at one time or another. Then his very first visits to high schools in Nebraska went very well. When he got hired some people, here and other places said he didn't like to recruit. People said he was unkempt and slovenly. seems like he recruits in his sleepHard to draw up a better start, if you're being realistic.
Since when do statements on this board need to be backed up with factual information? I have been told many times it is an "opinion" board.I don’t remember anyone saying that, OP?
As a worldwide analysis I like to do my work for free as well. Just giving back to the community. Like Trey PalmerIf your "analysis" is so good why are you hanging out on a free board instead of having people pay you for your analysis and takes? Oh that's right it's because you're a fraud.

This year will be different since there is a transfer portal. He seems to be filling the needs properly with these players.I am still going to keep a very low expectation season-wise strictly based off his previous track record in 1st years at other stops and hope to be surprised. But he and his staff are kicking all sorts of ass on the recruiting trail that it really bodes well for the future. If they somehow land Raiola, it could truly be a program changer.
You mean we have posters talking shit with no validity? Come on now .It was said by several folks.
