Hard to say, I bet we’re winning this game if Thompson doesn’t get hurt which isn’t MJ’s fault
Fine, I'll give you that. But there has been some really dumb decisions made today. The play where CT got hurt is the perfect example of why MJ is not head coach material.

This is our team after a bye week. Let that sink in.
winning and driving when our quarterback went out

you're right, this is our team after a bye week (chance to go up 2 scores vs a "top-20" team)

Just day dreaming here. When the Bobfather showed up in ‘62, he took us to the Gotham Bowl, We were good through 2001. 40 years! We’ve been lousy from 2002 through 2022, only 20 years. We’ll get rid of frost‘s dead weight players, hire
a knockout coach and get back to being respectable!

that’s fair, though I’d put that more on Whipple.

However, we’ve killed teams with big passing plays so hard to fault them for taking a shot

Huh? Because he called a pass play on 3rd down. Oh wow. Any coach that calls a pass play on 3rd and 11 better be checked.I’ve been watching football forever. That might be the dumbest shit iver ever herd

I love Mickey, but it’s tough to be an assistant and come in and take over for such a big loser like Frost who built a completely gutless culture. I would love to see what Mickey could do in just a couple of years of coaching bringing in his own players and staff. That would be great to see, but we don’t have that luxury – we need to find a proven winner.

Brett Bielema at Illinois is a perfect example how a good coach can turn around a program with no history and little resources. We need to find somebody who has done that, not somebody we “think” could do it.
