I’m not sure what to expect. But a few thoughts:
1). Nebraska will have increased speed on the field.
2). Nebraska will play a much more Physical game than we’ve seen for many seasons. Full speed hitting and tackling in practice will make a difference.
3). Sims’ play will be special, for as long as he can stay healthy. That won’t be easy.
4). Improved special teams play in all area.**
**But I have no feel for the success rate of Field Goal attempts. I expect several games will be decided by that success rate.
5). A very high percentage of players will see the field this year.
6). 6 or 7 True Freshman players will play significant roles over the course of the season.
7). Noticeable Game Coaching Improvement.
My hope is that improvements in Speed, Physicality and Coaching will add up to 6+ wins and a Bowl Game.
I expect us to Win games 3, 4 and Northwestern. Other than that, I don’t have a real expectation yet, one way or another.
8). I expect to enjoy my 61st season of involvement with Nebraska Cornhusker football. 🏈
