..as I understand it, they canceled games against doormats, and one Ohio State because they were down a ton of players. I have no probs with that...in one game I think 50 players were out? now if it was just ohio state, i'm listening, but it was also against teams they could have beat using their womens volleyball team as subs.
They were 2-4 that year with Ls to Sparty and Indiana before cancelling the rest of their season because of the sniffles

Covid made people do silly things...I remember a coach that let his players vote on whether or not they wished to participate in a bowl game, and the players voted no. That whole era needs an asterick next to it...and Michigan really did have most of their team unavailable due to Covid during the stretch you mention.

I think he is the best coach with the best team in the B1G. He's a lil weird....but I'll allow it with his resume. After Saban and Smart...Dabo at a distant third....I put him at 4th or 5th in the college game.

Sonny Dykes won 9 games at la tech, 10 games at SMU and a playoff game at TCU

Just looked at his SMU and La Tech record...I had no idea he coached at Tech....he did well at both stops. We'll see if he can keep it going at TCU....but if you told every AD in the country they could choose between the two, all of them would take Jim.

harbaugh will never coach again when he's through at mich. there's a reason he's gotten laughed out of every job he's ever held. everyone who spends any time around him hates his guts.
I don't like Harbaugh, but he's one of the few top college coaches who had success in college, went to the NFL and had success and returned to college again with success.
As far as top 5 college coaches, I think (and I don't like this guy either) Brian Kelly at LSU is a helluva coach.
