When Spencer’s pre-draft stuff came back, it did appear he’d need surgery at some point on his elbow. He was throwing in the late summer and his elbow was acting up. They did another MRI and they said, your elbow is hanging on by a thread and could go basically any time.
He said he thought the soreness he’s felt throughout his baseball career was just normal and constant pain was just something he’d have to deal with being a ball player.
He’s now post-surgery and he’ll start to throw in April.
