Had my fourth shoulder surgery, 2nd on this side! Most previous ones had been mild clean up etc. however this one is different - 3 hour surgery on my left side (2 anchor rotator cuff, 2 tendons slightly torn), superior labral tear (2 anchor).

Not only that but they did a 2 hour surgery on my left elbow at the same time (5 hours total under the knife). I forgot how bad recovery sucks, minimal pain for each surgically fixed area but hard to do anything with one arm etc.

Here is a list of everything done below ( Dr. Matthew Byington and his PA did my shoulder while Dr. Patrick Hurlbut and his PA assisted. The roles were reversed for my elbow. These doctors are from Prairie Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery.

List of procedures done:

Left Shoulder
- distal clavicle excision
- subacromial decompression
- 2 anchor labrum repair and debridement
- 2 anchor rotator cuff minor tear repair (preventive measure) and debridement
- loose body removal
- scapular debridement and trap scar tissue removal

Left Elbow
- lateral epicondyle debridement and PRP (Tennis Elbow)
- distal biceps tendon debridement and PRP
- medial epicondyle debridement and PRP (Golfers Elbow)
- ulnar nerve entrapment and decompression release
- ulnar nerve anterior transposition

Recliner throughout day + ice packs throughout day + pain needs @ night for sleep are great.

End of rant!
