Rhule trolling Finebaum

Unfortunately Finebaum was still right about the other thing specific to us.
What, that Rhule isn't entitled to talk about the conference's strength or have an opinion until he accomplishes something at Nebraska? What exactly has Paul Finebaum accomplished that makes his opinions worthwhile? Rhule can say whatever he wants and Finebaum can shove it up his wazzoo.

Big 10. So much winning!! Like our country the next 4 years.👈😍

You’re right Rhule can say whatever he wants when he wants. Just pointing out that Finebaum was right in the fact we struggled to win enough games to make a bowl and that we are far from the big boys table.

Interesting comment given Finebaum seems to live rent free in Rhule’s mind.
I think you’re struggling to follow the very simple chain of events here…Rhule initially made a comment about the conference we’re in…NOT mentioning Finebaum at all. It was Finebaum who actually decided to pick Matt Rhule out of hundreds of other CFP opinions to live in HIS head.

Now say it back to me, who’s name came out of who’s mouth first?

He’s too stubborn or stupid to accept the facts.

I completely understand the chain of events here. What I don’t understand is why all of you are praising our 12-13 HC for tweeting about some pundit who hurt his feelings 6 months ago, while simultaneously bending the knee to OSU.

You're actually both wrong. It was Mike Greenberg who mentioned what Rhule said first. He was just using it to draw Finebaum off sides. And it worked. Greenie is a Northwestern grad and loves to bust Finebaum's balls. He's pretty good at his job.

The old saying used to be something to the effect of "don't pick fights with people who buy their ink by the barrel" meaning newspapers. Now, it needs to be adapted to "don't pick fights with people who are always on the radio looking for something to critique".

Sooo Finebaum successfully trolled Rhule then ?

I guess...if that's how you want to define "troll." Then, sure, Greenie trolled Finebaum and Finebaum trolled Rhule.

BTW, that term is far too often misused on this site. Lot of posters who think anyone with an opposing point-of-view is a "troll" when it's simply just a good old fashion sports argument with differing opinions on either side.

I find Finebomb to be annoying AF but he's also really smart and knowlegable about CFB. He also did something a lot of people are incapable of....he came off a 20 year long opinion when the data changed. His stance that the SEC was king for the last couple decades was accurate...and in 2 years time he realized that isn't the case anymore and admitted it. So kudos to him.

How much do you suppose he'd be willing to pay for say...a full head of hair? Prolly a lot.

Honestly, it never looked like Rhule was picking a fight at all. As usual, he was just giving an honest answer and maybe sometimes he says too much. Finebaum's reaction was over the top, it was obvious that he either A) hates Rhule, B) hates the Big 10, or C) both. Did you see the look of nausea that was on that dork's face when he had to say that the B1G owns college football? His bias is a real thing.

I think it's more like D) says a ton of sensational shit to get clicks/views and E) has such a boner for the SEC that he gets personally offended when anyone dares question its greatness

That was priceless!

It’s called scoreboard. B1G got 4 teams in, 2 in the final four, and won the NC. And Nebraska made a bowl.

Scoreboard always wins.

It's funny because it has to be so painful for all these southern people. They can't make ANY excuses. Can't talk about beating each other up or how they deserve the tie breaker. Why I love the expanded playoff. Put it all out there and let us see for ourselves.

The days of SEC dominance are over. Now that everyone can pay players the cheating advantage they had is gone. They are still a great conference but now there is the rise of the B1G as a super conference with the additions from the old PAC 12 really adding to the number of top tier programs in the conference.
The ACC has tremendous potential despite being down right now. FSU, Miami, and Clemson are a good foundation and they won’t be down forever. The Big 12 sucks.
