Come on, I can't tell if you are being ignorant or arguing in bad faith. The rankings for kansas are pretty good, they aren't all in on winning championships, nor do they have a history of doing so. What is their football NIL like for instance? I don't expect Kansas to have top recruiting classes in football. Just like I don't expect Nebraska to have top classes in basketball, but I expect Kansas to.

I'd be very happy for Nebraska to win every game if Stalin was the coach. I'm certainly fine with Rhule if he's successful. I just don't think he wants to be here...and I'd like someone who's a better recruiter.

I didn't change anything, I said superstars, if one of you created your own definition that's a you issue and not a me issue. If we want to win anything, we'll need some superstars. A WR example would be Harrison at Ohio State. There is no reason we're spending 400 million dollars on facilities, etc. etc. unless we're trying to win titles. To do all that work and spend all that money and then not have a team capable of doing it is insanity. We either need a staff that will recruit and close (not be number 2 but actually get them to sign, close to doesn't count) or better NIL that will help them close. It's crazy to even have to argue this point, it's been battered about ad nauseum on here for years. The teams at the top of the recruiting rankings are also the teams in the CFP consistantly. We're acting in every way except the play on the field like we want to be that. It's time for the play on the field to match the investment, and that includes on the recruiting front.
^^^^ well-said. 1000%.

What valid point did you make? That Malachi Coleman isn't Marvin Harrison Jr.? Ok.

8 games in and with all the young players playing so well you choose to attack recruiting? Interesting.
we've lost a lot of really talented prospects not because we couldn't pay them, but that we chose not to. 100% agree that our win/loss and just abysmal play hasn't helped that, and hopefully that can change with just becoming bowl-eligible, but it is a choice that those who hold the keys to our recruiting effort are making. Would rather see $400M spent on players instead of wider seats for obese fans.

Yes. Mind boggling to me the decisions that the AD keeps making, it's clear that the stadium experience is no longer a big factor in anything except ego. More and more people are choosing to watch at home anyway because the home viewing experience has gotten so good. And you know what people will pay or tune in to watch? A good team. Take care of that with the money, and everything will flow from it.

you have many problems and it is one for sure. Another is you bleeding all over the forum because we didn't get your favorite coach.
Again, those are your problems, none of those things bother me. I suggest you skip over my posts, or block if that's possible on here.

I don’t disagree that NIL needs to improve. But to say kids don’t care about the stadium experience is also wrong. It’s a both/and not an either/or.

We need to address NIL. Now let me ask you… if NIL is so out of whack, how are you not impressed by what Rhule has been able to bring in on the recruiting trail? Can’t have it both ways. If NIL is weak, why are you expecting Rhule to recruit a fleet of 4 and 5 star players?

Again, you are being unrealistic in your expectations.

Nah, I don't want to. None of what's on here is bothering me, if it bothers you, you definitely should though. I enjoy the back and forth, sometimes I learn something.

Hilarious, those two things describe you to a T. Your post about Leipold was in response to someone’s post about Leipold’s record and his recruiting class rankings. So I guess your comment about staffs that can recruit doesn’t apply to Leipold. Your willful ignorance is almost laughable at this point.

I think the word you're looking for is hypocritical maybe? Willful ignorance when you're accusing me of holding Leipold to an easier standard than Rhule doesn't seem to fit, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.
And I'm not sure why you guys are obsessed with a guy that doesn't coach here, it's not my problem what Leipold is doing at Kansas, why don't you guys go follow Jayhawk Illustrated if you want to worry about him? If he was at Nebraska and recruiting like he's doing at Kansas, I'd have a problem with it. Honestly. I'm not sure what you're trying to argue here, it seems like you're arguing to argue.

Great, let's see how it plays out. He got one in state guy, we'll see if he sticks around, keeps making an impact, doesn't get injured etc. But that's one, we need a lot more. Stop trolling my posts, if you don't want to have a real discussion, and can't acknowledge that other people make valid points when 20 years of mostly ineptitude proves the point, then just don't respond.
Your posting sucks. Step up your game.
