Agreed unless they choose BYU or Utah in which case those schools coordinate their rosters with the LDS mission players.

Why do they even test Olinemen or Dlinemen for their 40 times? I mean, if those dudes are trying to run 40 yards in a game, something is seriously hosed.

Does anyone remember Mike Mamula from Boston College? He was a DL guy that ran a 4.58 40 at the combine in the mid-90's. The Eagles traded up to take him at #7 after that.

There will also be another big cycle at the end of the season of players, finding a different home to play either in a different D1 or potentially even lower to find playing time. This is a different strategy. Usually we get our number, then have some late decommits, and are reaching at the end.
No doubt about it. The transfer portal has changed the game and I think these days, there are no limits. Ask TCU and USC how quickly that can turn things around.
