I expect Raiola makes a distinction between learning what he is teaching and understanding the game. Football people talk about "things slowing down", the light switch going on, or "seeing the big picture". That's how I took his comment about Scott. Keep in mind Raiola has been there one season and was at odds with the OC and to a lessor degree the HC. I'm waiting to see what he can do when everyone is on the same page.

Now do the little 8 of the Big10. tOSU and Michigan (the big2 of the Big10) had a cake walk year in and year out. The Big8/12 football teams were every bit as good or better than the Big10 in the majority of seasons. Oklahoma and Nebraska were the big8 equivalent to tOSU and Michigan. The Big12 will definitely take a back seat after losing Oklahoma and Texas.
Texas hasn't dun shit in forever....losing them hurts more in people's minds than in reality....with the additions they've also made (not world beaters but good) I can make the argument it's the second best conference overall top to bottom when you combine all mens sports, behind the SEC.
People over inflate the consistency at which programs win. Georgia was slightly above average at best ever since I can remember, until Smart. Ask someone now and they forget about 30 years of mediocrity. Conferences were mostly equal for the most part.
UT is one of those schools where you think they are good at stuff, then you look it up and you go "Oh, wow, okay, they are not that good"
Like, for years I used to think Ole Miss was a "good" FB program and then you look at it and realize they are kind of lame.
AM is another program, for some reason you think they are good and then you look and realize they suck.

Another expert trend with three-star CB Amare Sanders
It didn’t get a ton of publicity this week but three-star cornerback Amare Sanders was projected to Nebraska football by two Husker Online experts as Sean Callahan and Bryan Munson each see him being N.Sanders is 6-foot-1, 162 pounds out of Florida. He’s ranked 708 overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2024 class. The On3 industry rankings have him a little higher at 677 overall in the 2024 class. And with the new projections, Nebraska football has a 98-percent chance of winning his commitment via the On3 prediction machine.
It sounds like Sanders wants to make an announcement before his senior season. If that’s true, my bet would be on Nebraska football, which really makes me believe Caleb Benning won’t be in this class, unless the Huskers are just taking him as a pure athlete.
Clearly the Whorns had more talent and got less out of it.

I'll update the ranking thread after 4-star Taumua commits. Then 3-star Amare Sanders, then hopefully 4-star Brix. More rankings bumps coming for the commits as well. Then we'll see where we end up.
