Recruiting updates 2023-24

Yeah I don't see why we need a high school QB this class, if we don't get DR. Sims has 2 more years of eligibility, and if he doesn't perform well this year, you can always find another guy in the transfer portal.
Because if we land DR there will be a ripple effect of other top recruits following him

I don’t think Harry is saying don’t go after Raiola, just that if we don’t get him, we will still be ok this year with what we have. We all want Raiola still, apart from a few maybe who are ticked he hasn’t committed yet.

Just another big clue, sounds like Dylan told everybody unofficially that he's going to be picking Georgia. As far as I know right now there's only one more visit left on Dylan's calendar and it's an official to Georgia. Doesn't mean he couldn't change his mind again but that seems to be his choice as of the moment.

I don't expect Nebraska to necessarily get these types of guys often but it's great to see Rhule and his staff making an effort to get the true difference making prospects. Every staff since Callahan has basically given up trying on high end recruits unless it was a legacy so this is a refreshing change to aim for the best.

I also got that feeling with previous staffs after Callahan. Everything so far is quite refreshing.

Have to swing for the fences once in awhile. Might even pay off with guys like Brandon and Nate.

The key is to assume those 5 stars aren't committing and count them as a bonus. Don't skip recruiting other tackles because the OT out of Cali likes us and then end up with some kid at the last minute who isn't properly vetted.

Need to recruit Minneapolis better. Huge metro, people don't love the home school like most places, and it is kind of isolated from most D-1 schools other than Wisconsin and Iowa. Which people in Minnesota don't love either.
Minny Gopher football. Not many care.

No shade at SkerinCo, but that tweet was pure BS. Riley was talking about high profile QB recruits who are afraid to compete for the job. No specific reference to DR.
Yeah I hear ya. Didn't see the context until after I posted it. That dude is a hack.

I think if they are able to identify and recruit the type of under the radar talent like they did at Temple and Baylor whilst adding some blue chip prospects the future looks very bright.

I gave your post a "like" because I agreed with it and you used the word "whilst". That kinda classes the place up a bit. God knows I've tried to get HBK, Jae and Scope to get a little more upscale in their lingo.........silk purses and sows' ears.
