I was able to speak with Bryson Williams after his in-home visit with Wisconsin this evening.

"I just got done with my in-home visit with Coach (Inoke) Breckterfield from Wisconsin and we talked a little bit. The visit went great. You know, that was my fourth or fifth time meeting with him and he's a great guy. Top five d-line coach in the country now and he's just great to talk to. He knows what he's doing, he really loves Wisconsin, he really loves being there. He's just a great guy."

Williams also enjoyed his recent in-home visit with the new Nebraska staff.

"The Nebraska visit went well. I got to talk to Scott Frost and Coach (Barrett) Ruud. You know, we talked for a few hours about so many different things, from football to how UCF is to what he's trying to do at Nebraska. It was just a great talk all-around."

Williams is planning to sign his letter of intent December 20, so he's getting down to the nitty gritty between the Badgers and the Huskers.

"I can't see how you can go wrong either way. It will be hard. I will be signing in two weeks exactly and at either school I choose I will be an early enrollee."

Ever since he decommitted from Florida and heard that Scott Frost was taking the Nebraska head coaching job, Jacob Copeland has been wanting to hear from the new Husker staff. His wish was granted and he received a Cornhusker scholarship offer this week.

"Well, I've just been waiting on them to contact me and end their defensive coordinator, who was at UCF with Coach Frost, hit me up on twitter. We talked after that and he he said that Coach Frost wanted to make sure that he reached out to me.

"He said that I had an offer at Nebraska and they are still going to recruit me like they did at UCF. Coach Frost is a good coach. He changed UCF and there's a good outlook at Nebraska, so I'm interested in them."

Copeland hasn't taken any official visits yet and he's not planning to sign with a college until February 7. He's not sure how many officials he will end up taking, but he is sure of one destination.

"Yeah, I'm going to set up an official to Nebraska, but I don't have a date yet. There are a lot of schools who have been hitting me up since I decommitted, but I'm not sure where I'm going to go visit yet. Florida is for sure [still in the picture with me]."

I asked Copeland what will determine where he eventually ends up playing his college football, and he replied:

"I just want to see all the coaches and where their minds are at, how they are talking, and go from there."

Copeland said he was invited to play in both post season high school All-Star games and he chose to play in the Under Armour All-American game

I also touched base with four-star junior college tight end Dominick Anderson this evening and he is intrigued by his recent Nebraska offer.

"I am definitely seriously considering Nebraska and I, actually, think it's a good move for them to hire Scott Frost. He turns programs around, that's what he's known for doing, so I definitely think that's a good move.

"Coach (Ryan) Held came to my school to see me two or three days ago. He said they want to find a freak tight end, someone who's going to come in and be athletic, and stuff like that."

Anderson believes he's exactly that type of tight end.

"I get in and out of my breaks fast. I know how to maneuver in space. I know how to pick my feet up and accelerate. I have great hands and I can block. My blocking is pretty good, but I still can get better at it. I can improve in that area. I think that I am an athletic tight end."

In the first half of this year, Andersen used three of his official visits to go see Alabama, Oregon and Texas, and with him signing his LOI on December 20, he's now trying to determine who will get his last two official visit trips.

"I have no clue right now. I'm going to take one on the 8th and the 15th. I'm going to try to sneak one in this weekend. I'm just looking for somewhere I can come in and have the chance to compete and play right away. Somewhere that fits me and we are going to win. I want to be coached by some good dudes."

Anderson will have three years of eligibility to complete two seasons of college football on the Division I level.

Finally, I also was able to speak with offensive tackle Jerome Carvin who is Jeremy Banks teammate at Cordova, Tennessee. Carvin is another recent recipient of a Nebraska offer under the new staff and he was visited this week by Husker offensive line coach Greg Austin.

"I like what I'm hearing from them, but it's pretty late in the game."

Carvin has already taken official visits to Tennessee, Mississippi State, Memphis and Auburn. His last official has been scheduled to Florida on December 15, so there's not much chance he will be visiting Lincoln unless Coach Frost is able to persuade him to do so.

"We'll just have to see. I'm supposed to talk to Coach Frost to see what's going on."

New official visitor this weekend!

I just caught up with Cedar Hill (Texas) athlete Joshua Fleeks. Fleeks, a Baylor commit, has been tough to reach. He answered tonight and had some news to pass along since he picked up a Nebraska offer this weekend.

"Coach Held came to my home for a visit," Fleeks said. "I am going to take a visit to Nebraska this weekend. I just want to check it out and see what it's all about. I have never been there there. Nebraska sees me as a running back and a wide receiver. They want to use me a number of different ways in their offense."

Fleeks is very excited by the interest, the offer and the visit to Nebraska. This one could get interesting.

Wildeman said that his recent in-home visit with the new Husker staff went well.

"Went good! Coach Verducci! We just talked a lot about the success of the program that’s about to come."
