Was able to reach OLB/DE target Habakkuk Baldonado tonight. The Huskers had originally planned on bringing him in for a visit this coming weekend. However, he told me he is no longer taking his official visit to Nebraska this weekend.

"No, I'm not visiting Nebraska anymore," Baldonado said. "They said they filled out their class. I might be visiting UCF instead now."

Goes without saying NU is feeling pretty confident with Javontae Jean-Baptiste.

I just received a text from receiver recruit John Jackson Jr. that he will not be officially visiting Nebraska this weekend. We believe that the Husker staff has moved on and is no longer recruiting him.

I just spoke briefly with Cornhusker outside linebacker target Javontae Jean-Baptiste and he is still thinking everything through concerning his recruitment

"Right now, I'm just going over my thoughts and talking with my family. I still don't know when I'm going to make a decision. I'm still considering Ohio State, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M."

Jean-Baptiste did not take an official visit anywhere last weekend, but he is considering taking an official visit to Texas A&M this coming weekend. He has not had any in-home visits this week yet, but he is expecting some tomorrow.

"I know a couple coaches from Nebraska are coming, as well as a couple coaches from Virginia Tech, and I think Coach (Jimbo) Fisher, and they're all coming on Wednesday. I don't know if the head coach from Virginia Tech is coming, but I saw Coach (Scott) Frost last week. And Coach Fisher is coming tomorrow."

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has not been to see him at his house yet.

Jean-Baptiste does not know if he's going to wait until signing day to announce his decision. He's just taking things one day at a time and he will know when the time is right to commit.

As far as what will determine where he ends up going to college to play football, Jean-Baptiste said:

"Relationships and connections. Both with the coaches and the players."

OT Bamidele Olaseni

Nebraska has offered 2019 Garden City (Kan.) C.C. offensive tackle Bamidele Olaseni today. The 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive tackle landed his first two offers today from NU and K-State. Not much info out there on him yet, but it looks like he played football in London last year and is new at Garden City at the semester.

This kid will end up being a big-time national JUCO OT target. Good for the Huskers to get in on the ground floor.

CB Joseph Norwood

Looks like Nebraska is trying to line up another addition to this weekend's official visitor list. Athlete Joseph Norwood out of Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd tells me he has been in touch with the Huskers and is in the process of setting up an official visit at this very moment.

The 6-foot-2, 160-pound Norwood could play wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. He says Nebraska is looking at him to play defensive back, but NU has not offered just yet. Tennessee has also entered the picture late.

Norwood is also a really good track and field athlete. He won the state long jump last year with a mark of 22-4.
