Rate these Husker RBs

Big Dan was bigger and stronger. Maybe with a much speed. Rozier arguably had a better offensive line and Gill and Fryer and Jeff Smith to get him rest. I'm a big fan of Rozier but I really liked what Alexander brought.

Alexander had "issues" with holding onto the ball to say the least. Rozier rarely fumbled and was tough as nails (Missouri 82 game). Dont forget he pushed Roger Craig to the backup role and eventually to FB (in the weak set).

Completely confused by your two posts, sooner or later... In one you have rozier beneath Craig, in another you say rozier forced Craig into a back up role. Why then do you have rozier so low?

I believe Coach Barry Switzer said about R Craig and M Rozier after they put on a clinic of punishing runs and breaking tackles in beating Oklahoma : " They out Oklahoma'd us ".

Yeah, I'm not gonna really rate these, but a few comments:
Rozier was best. LP coulda maybe got there if he stayed around longer (and out of trouble).
Alexander was huge and super fast. But had no moves and hands of stone.
Ahman was the best at picking up the needed yardage for first down. Need 2 yards? He would carry 11 defenders on his back for 2 yards and an inch. Every time.
Calvin Jones was really special before his injury.
And would have really, really loved to see how Jeff Smith would have done had he stayed healthy. He was absolutely tearing it up.

Phillips Green and Rozier in no particular order...After that it is hard to separate...

No Ahman Green?

If LP isn't at the top of the list, then I question the list. The guy was one of the greatest to play the game, in my eyes, and I personally think if he wasn't such a screw up he probably would have had a hall of fame type career in the NFL. That's just my personal opinion.

After that it is very hard to separate the others. I would think Green and Rozier at 2 & 3 (in any order really), 4. Ameer Abdullah 5. Roger craig...and the rest I won't attempt to be honest, because they can all make their case for certain spots.

My list based on what they did at Nebraska and not in the NFL.....and also taking into account the quality of line they played behind. And honestly after the top 8.....I don't have strong feelings one way or the other for most of the rest of the list as far as placement.

Phillips stands alone at the top with nobody really even close. Rozier and green are a toss up. And in my opinion anybody that doesn't have Dubose in their top five probably never saw him play. He could have been one of the best of all time if he had stayed away from the blow. Abdullah......wonder what he could have done on an Osborne coached team with Tenopir offensive line.
