Let's start with Grant. 2 fumbles, 1 lost in 241 rushes at JUCO. 3 fumbles, 1 lost last year in 218 attempts. I don't see how he's held to such a high standard when Sims isn't.By what standard is this roster that good? Transfer QB, walk on receivers, walk on o-lineman, young TE coming off two knee injuries, no proven RB besides Grant who can't hold onto the ball. The o-line has unfortunately not improved to date so tell me where the strength in this O lies?
The offensive line has 118+ combined starts. Sims has started 26 games over 4 years. Kemp has 192 career catches. Washington looked good not great last year. Ervin is a former starter. Johnson has been around for what seems forever.
Do I expect us to win the Big 10? No. Do I expect the offense to look organized and disciplined? Yes.
I'm sick of excuses. Our offense is a straight up shit show. And did we see any improvement from game 1 to game 2? I'm sick of watching bad football.
I'll ask again. What is the downside to playing or starting HH and seeing what he can do?
