If Deion would agree to forgoe payment for commercials (agree to be in them with various recruits/players, but he receives no cash for it) and instead let the recruits have the $$$ he could fix it.

The problem I have with it is us not doing it. If you're not tampering, you're not trying.

He did say that. After getting both of his kids big NIL deals..... For the life of me I cant figure out why so many kids are leaving and decommitting from there...?
I think his kids actually earn a lot of their NIL. I doubt people in Boulder are just writing checks like Bama or somewhere like that. So his kids are raking in NIL, but I doubt it's huge checks from CU just to keep him. Could be totally wrong on that.

In my mind there is a difference between a collective paying a player to keep them and Caleb Williams getting money for doing a Dr Pepper commerical. Both are NIL but arent coming from a collective. It's why these NIL valuation sites are so stupid. Just throwing shit at the wall.

There were multiple detractors on here of the OSU DB. I wasn’t one of them but I try to be optimistic. We had room for him so it was a low cost risk.
If you're talking posters on here, then everything has multiple detractors. I don't remember anyone from the Husker recruiting reporters saying of the sort. All I remember was these guys were coming to play right away and they didn't play right away. Nor did they play sooner or later. Or after a while. Or ever.

So they should be able to hawk and sell street drugs?
I mean, even capitalism has boundaries.
by boundaries, you mean illeagal activity. sure...can't sell drugs to make a few bucks.

NIL isn't breaking laws, at least not current laws.

The problem I have with it is people offering huge sums to guys before they’ve entered the portal. To me that’s akin to tampering in the NFL.

And there have been exactly zero consequences for the schools and/or intermediaries that have been brokering deals before a player has entered the portal. So until they get this shit regulated and enforceable, we might as well get in the game.

JHTFC 😳 It’s like NFL free agency on super steroids. At least in the NFL there’s only 32 teams, 55 roster spots and your dealing with players who have at least some sort of proven track record to show they’re worth the money. In this shitty new CFB cluster fvck of a free agency there’s 120+ teams and 90–110 players per team. And you’re betting on kids who have a very limited resume to evaluate their ability/value. Shit 💩 Show

Yeah there's more teams in CFB, but there's only about 20 fighting for the top transfers.

Seems like every other team in America has players announcing they are entering the portal. Curious why nothing for NU?

I believe we’re going to start seeing consequences.

Crazy thought.
You can disagree and calmly make an argument without the insults. They don't enhance your pov.
Sorry I'm just over here being wild.

How dare I critique your comparison of NIL to selling illegal drugs. Very uncalm.
