Penn State is only a 12 point favorite at Iowa?

Iowa is tough at home and always plays ranked teams tough. It won't surprise me to see them win outright.

You may be right. I wonder if it being early in the year hurts them, though. My perception is they are usually better later in the year. Plus, they have played like junk so far.

Ferentz owned PSU primarily when Jo Pa was there ( 5 in a row (6 out of 7 ( 8 out of 11. I n a Night game at Kinnick on 11-08 A 9-0 pedo team lost on a last second field goal to Iowa and a household name Dan Murray? Following year 09 3rd ranked Pedo State had a punt blocked by Clayborn and Iowa had night win . Also there was the 6-4 game at Pedo state led by Tate and a 6th team running back . Can they win ? That line is for suckers who have no knowledge of the 2 teams and just hunt spreads

penn st offense hasn't looked all that good from what i've watched. their defense has been very good though. should be a good game.

History: Penn State leads the head to head series 14-12 and have won the last three meetings. Prior to this stretch, Iowa won 8 of the 9 contests in Big Ten play. Kirk Ferentz is 8-4 against the Nittany Lions as Iowa’s head coach. Before last season, Iowa had won four straight against Penn State when they entered the game nationally ranked.

I've always understood you get 3 points for home field so the line is closer to 15-16. I think the line is set accurately and that Iowa will lose by 2TDs. As far as I know penn st is healthy and has depth.

This Penn State team looks pretty damn good so far. I could be wrong but I'm thinking they handle Iowa..

Penn State has had our number as of late, but Iowa absolutely owned Penn State for a good stretch. It's a home game at Kinnick under the lights. Still at a point in the season where we don't really know just how good Penn State really is yet. You never know.

Michigan were 24 point favorites under the lights at Kinnick last year.
Michigan had and has a very average offense. Penn st is good at QB and great at RB. I noticed you mentioned above that you're not sure how good penn st is yet, IMO there are more questions about how good Iowa is this season, not impressive in any win and as a husker fan I know what unimpressive looks like. Enjoy the game this evening.

That average offense was 9-0 going into the game, and had already beat PSU 49-10 (and Rutgers 78-0). Their lowest point total of the year was against Iowa at Kinnick under the lights. I'm not saying Iowa gets an upset tonight, but stranger things have happened.

You don't get to high jack a thread over here.
Michigan was 69th in total offense last season. End of discussion.

If you have an opinion about the PSU vs. Iowa point spread by all means give it.

Huh? Are you serious or comparing then to us and being sarcastic?

im serious. compare their performance on offense vs pitt to okie st. only 312 yds of total offense against the one real team they played. even akron, i thought, did a pretty good job of shutting them down for a half until they tired.
