GT leads UGA 17-0 late in the 2nd QTR. Dayum
Didn’t watch. What happened?How about that Raiders-Chiefs ending? 😅
Was the announcer just saying UGA shouldn’t be penalized for playing an “extra “ nonconf game? The salty SEC tears about getting a 3-loss team in the playoff are going to be flowing hard.
I think the Raiders outdid the Bears and Huskers combinedDidn’t watch. What happened?
A 3 loss team should never get an at large bid.The salty SEC tears about getting a 3-loss team in the playoff are going to be flowing hard.
Dumbest thing ever. The SEC plays an 8 game conference schedule so they can schedule an extra patsy noncon game. Now they're being punished LOL?Was the announcer just saying UGA shouldn’t be penalized for playing an “extra “ nonconf game?
I never count out the SEC when it comes to getting something they shouldn't.A 3 loss team should never get an at large bid.
Georgia is already in the SEC championship, if they win that they are inA 3 loss team should never get an at large bid.
True. But if they lose to ga tech and Texas, they have 4 loses. Out. Bama and ole miss? Out. Texas is the only team in.Georgia is already in the SEC championship, if they win that they are in
I am in no way predicting a 3 loss sec team won’t get in. I’m saying they shouldn’t. If Georgia loses today, they get a bye or they’re out. No debate from anyone there. The question is bama and ole miss. No way they deserve to get in. Loses to Kentucky, Florida, vandy and Oklahoma. OUT! (But they’ll get in)I never count out the SEC when it comes to getting something they shouldn't.

Correct, if they lose to Texas they’re out. If they beat Texas, they’re in. This game against Tech means nothing. This is exactly why the expanded playoffs are a mistake.True. But if they lose to ga tech and Texas, they have 4 loses. Out. Bama and ole miss? Out. Texas is the only team in.

Georgia is 9-2. They can lose to Tech, fall to 9-3, beat Texas in the conference championship and be an automatic qualifier for the expanded playoffs. Not only an automatic qualifier, but receive a first round bye. This game would still mean nothing if the playoffs weren't expanded.

Under the previous 4-team playoff, no 3-loss team ever stood a chance at making it, not even the SEC champion.
The game against Tech means nothing to Georgia in the big scheme of things and the explanded playoffs are the reason.
Also, under the previous 4-team playoff, Georgia would absolutely have to win against Tech and in the SEC championship against Texas to have a chance at making the playoffs. The Tech game would have still had meaning (a lot of it).
If they had 3 losses, then yes they would be left out. I don’t think a 2-loss team ever made the final 4, so a 3-loss team certainly would not have. The SEC champion would not be left out of a 4-playoff. Especially one that beat Texas twice.
The entire purpose of going to the format was to save time, and yet... they still switch fields, take their sweet ass time getting lined up, and there's timeouts.I hate this OT format so much, alternating 2 point conversions. I think I’d rather see a tie after 2 OT’s than this and I hate ties
They should at least make it interesting - like let’s stick with the play clock. You gotta run the offense and defense on and off field alternating every play. Bang, bang, bang, get this shit over with. The entire purpose of going to the format was to save time, and yet... they still switch fields, take their sweet ass time getting lined up, and there's timeouts.
Need to take all that crap away, have a running play clock the second the previous play ends and line up and go.
Agreed. There was 1, maybe 2 games that went on too long in 20 years. With the old format, most overtimes ended in 1-3 OTs at most. I’d be interested to see how much real time this format takes vs the old format. The entire purpose of going to the format was to save time, and yet... they still switch fields, take their sweet ass time getting lined up, and there's timeouts.

They beat both Tennessee Tech and U Mass at home. LOLDumbest thing ever. The SEC plays an 8 game conference schedule so they can schedule an extra patsy noncon game. Now they're being punished LOL?
