OT: Why is Warren Buffet always ahead of the game?

I took half of my on-hand cash and put into my Vanguard Brokerage account settlement fund (VMFXX). It pays better than CD (currently 4.73%) and has no term commitment. If you pull out in the middle of the month before the dividends are paid at months end you will still get a prorated dividend payment.

Not giving financial advice but it’s something I’m doing to earn something on my “emergency fund”.
Vanguard, Blackrock and State Street own the country and the government, so there are worse places to put your money in.

My bank is giving me about the same rate but I'm locked in at 4mos. I like the option you have better, but man Vanguard screwed me something bad a couple years back.

Buffet is no guru.. there is nothing special about his approach and those that put him on a pedestal don't actually understand how ruthless his companies are run.

Show me what you've got. I don't think you shit about finances and the economy.
I don't know what this sentence means. You go around acting like you know everything and belittle people with your comments. Thats why I make fun of you. Get over yourself.

Lol. Comments like that make me laugh. I don't put him on a pedestal but I tell my kids to follow his financial advice over anyone else. Unlike other people, like say a guy with the initials DR, he practices what he preaches in regards to finances. And unlike some companies out there he actually owns companies that make money.

You can buy Brk-B and get a very well run company that is diversified without fees. My only gripe is some day he needs to spend some cash or pay a dividend.

Agreed. If it was so easy, everyone would have 100 billion.

Someone who has amassed what they have starting from nothing should be put on a pedestal assuming they are building wealth legally. He gives good advice to novice investors.

Where I have seen people slander him is because he doesn’t spend his own money on initiatives they think he should - which I personally find to be hilarious.

People also fail to acknowledge the sheer amount of wealth he brought to Nebraska. There are lots of people in Nebraska who got in on Berk before it blew up and got trendy.

People hate him because he doesn't fit in a box like they want.
