Oct. 1st, the current administration is set to hand over control of the internet to the UN. While I pray this doesn't happen, if it does, there could potentially be a huge impact on not only our personal internet service but for companies as in your link who rely on the internet to offer their services and products.
I would agree the service so far has been great. I also noticed the usage was high like really high.....then I realized even when I am not using my fire TV, if I don't put it too sleep it will continue to use data for x amount of time after before putting itself to sleep so had a lot of wasteful usage. Once I realized that I have yet to be close to my data limits with Cox.I tried out the Vue service. The video quality is excellent. The bandwidth is chews up is very large. I stream every day, so I did some bandwidth usage comparisons, and the Vue service used nearly triple the amount of bandwidth that I normally go through. For example, in a typical evening, I might use 4GB of data streaming different shows, albeit at lower resolutions, but which still look good. The bandwidth Vue used for 1 football game (3-3.5 hours) was over 12GB. The quality though, is outstanding. So, depending on your internet service provider, you may run into data overages or be asked to switch to a higher tier plan.
