I agree we give Vets a raw deal. Not sure it ever really becomes a central issue in Washington other than providing lip service for campaigns.

Yeah my mom has a friend who was in Vietnam who was sent on clearing missions deep. They never expected anyone from his squad to come back.

Dude is a little off, but a heck of a guy. Loves to smoke weed, and after hearing what they were told to do I don't blame him.

He copes with it his way, I'm not one for people just using drugs for kicks, that money ends up enriching guys that kidnap girls here in the US and cart them off to be used as sex slaves south of the border and beyond, but there are some stories that make me shut my mouth about it for a minute.

Nobody cares because fewer than 1% of Americans are active duty and fewer than 8% have ever served....that number will continue to go down.

Washington is in the numbers game and frankly their actions show how they really feel about Vets.

Most of the cannabis consumed now isn't coming from out of the country....heroine and coke yeah but not the tree.

I'm sure you "drink for kicks"...how's that any better? I'd put money on it more people die because of alcohol than the wacky weed.

Ugggg, I don't think that is what he meant. Come on!

I can't wait until pot is legal everywhere so that pot lovers have nothing left to talk about.

Look, i dont like to say it, im 100% disabled from the USMC. They ****ed me up, and i deserve.to drink for what i did. No more questions
You deserve to do whatever you want, absolutely! But alcohol does cruel things to the mind and most definitely is making matters worse. Hold out for the legalization of psychedelic mushrooms in California, they do wonders for people with PTSD/Cancer/Loss of family members.

I spend 3 months a year, more or less, working for one of the 3 letter agencies doing "security details". When I get back to the states, I drink like a fish.

Do whatcha do my brother. I say rehab is for quitters!! (partially joking)

I do make a plum rum for Christmas, but I don't get drunk.

After spending my enlistment half drunk I don't drink as much anymore. I'd end up in fights and have to hear about it from the guys. Aparently I had a penchant for throwing guys down stairs because I loved my whiskey and loved to be confrontational.

My earliest memory is of my mom passing a joint to my aunt while making Thanksgiving dinner. I think I was 3.

I remember days waking up at seeing puke in the driveway from one heck of a time the previous night my parents had.

Watched cousins smoke a lot of meth off of tin foil, my aunt and uncle are hopped up on adderall probably right now...and it's not pretty.

Real good friend committed suicide because he couldn't score anymore meth or weed, and was fired from his job living at home.

Now where would we be without drugs? Because seriously out of the 6 family members who've died of cancer in the 15 years and 1 right now stage 4 undergoing experimental treatments in not sure why smoking pot is such an asset. Pot don't cure brain cancer, just ask my uncles headstone.

But would have to agree more spur of the moment violent things happen on alcohol than weed.

Your original post did not mention meth, I agree that hard drugs are a problem but marijuana is not. You said your friend committed suicide because he couldn't score any meth or pot...had you just said pot you would have a case. Now medicinally it's the most beneficial plant on the planet. Dont waste your breath(text).

Could be the problem all along...did you know sugar feeds cancer? If you know anyone else fighting cancer have them eat clean or yes, pot won't do them a bit of good

The one family member with cancer left alive doesn't like to eat because of chemo(sp) Wasn't it the guy from Apple who decided to try to do the al natural route to treat his cancer....and died? Before he did he said just go with the doctors and do what they tell you. Lol After a whole nation watching this I am convinced if God wants you to live, you will. Cancer is a tough cookie to deal with. We could all probably stand to eat less sugar though.
