OT- Eagles, playoffs, record cold and snow, Chiefs on the Cock, and Go Pack Go!!

What an idiot. It's $6. Cost a beer st the bar. Fake a*s politician.
The it's only $6 attitude is what allows greedy corporations to get away with more stuff. Yeah it's $6 now but this is the NFL seeing how far it can push it's anti-trust exemption. It starts with one game and then another slowly chipping away until there are no more games left on broadcast TV. And then the streaming companies jack up their rates because where else are you going to watch it? So enjoy your $6 beer while it lasts because it's about to get more expensive.

This is America. Feel free to not watch it. I likely won't. Stick it to the man.

I already pay for a YouTube subscription that starts and ends with football season. It's funny to me that people would be so worked up over $6. People typing on a $1,000 phone complaining about a $6 subscription to watch a football game. What a country.

You don't get the point that it's not about the $6. And your not sticking it to the man, you are letting them get away with it by taking away things that used to be free and making you pay for it if you want to watch.

Yep…dorks pick and choose what to rage about. Good thing they weren’t around before televised games were a thing.

You're right, I don't get your point. Since when was it free to watch professional sports? The NFL isn't a non-profit. And you must be talking about a different era. I always had to pay for cable tv. And I used to pay $40 to watch a PPV Husker game. Peacock charges $6 and you get it for a month.

You can still watch games over the air if you have an antenna for free. If everything goes to streaming then that is no longer an option. Maybe if the NFL tries this with more games you will start to see more people and congressmen complaining.

I would love to see the stats on how many NFL fans watch their games with an antenna for free. You act like this is some kind of oppression. For reference, I paid $10 to get into a high school wrestling tournament this morning. I should have b*tched at them that it used to be free.

They should have paid you ten bucks for watching.

You dont get the point because you are thick headed, and not very inquisitive.
You do not have to be “poor” or something to not be able to get this game.
Not everyone has a smart tv, roku, or firestick.
Many people still have normal flatscreen or non flatscreen tvs and cable. You can be a dick all you want and act like these people dont matter, but we have them to thank for having the NFL be as big as it is in the first place. Millions do not have access to this app.
When nbc bought the rights to these games long there were no discussions abou not having it on nbc, that came in a more recent discussion of which particular games. I get the nfl is in on it now. What this will eventually lead to is games being on apps and you have to either get nfl sunday ticket to flip between games or you are screwed.
This treatment of loyal fans is a disgrace and will lead to poor outcomes. Its ok if you disagree, but to act all childish about people not liking this is quite frankly weird.

If you are still too dense to understand why this isnt about 6 bucks, give me your contact info and Ill send you six bucks in the mail for proof. But I think you do know it isnt about six bucks. Acting like people are too lazy to pay six bucks as the reason they are upset makes it easier for you to get on this strange, grand crusade you are on.

I may sound the like old guy resistant to change. Probably am. It used to be two games on Sat. 2 on Sunday. None on Monday. None streaming. Way it should be!! Fight me!! Go!!
Theres nothing wrong with sounding like the old guy when the old system worked. It worked for everyone. The players, the NFL, the fans.
History is strewn with new ideas that suck. New is not always better.

I'm on a grand crusade for people to stop complaining about something they don't really care about. If they did care about it they would spend the money, or find a friend who is watching the game, or go to a bar.

The amount of people who won't have access to this game if they want is incredibly low. Even if you don't have a smart TV, who doesn't have a friend or relative with one AND doesn't have a smart phone or tablet themselves?

Maybe there is some lonely guy out in the sticks who can't drive and has no friends or family. No smart tv or tablet. No smart phone. I feel bad for him. This game would have made his week.

Don't we actually have more games in the playoffs now than back in the day? Or am I remembering wrong?

Your also missing the point about the NFL trying to test how far it can go towards it's anti-trust exemption.

Without the broadcast antitrust exemption, the NFL would face significant liability if it forces networks that would prefer to purchase the right to televise only Cowboys home games to also take home games from all teams. Eventually, every team would do its own deal. And it would become very hard to hold the league together if one team is making $1 billion per year and another team is making $50 million per year.

That’s why the NFL has always made cable-only games on TNT or ESPN available via over-the-air TV in the local markets, for more than 30 years. Taking games away from three-letter networks in local markets would imperil the antitrust exemption.

Is this what you want? Each team being able to do it's own deal and were stuck with a hot mess much like college football and NIL is now. I for sure don't want to be stuck watching nothing Cowboys games because that's all the networks wants to pay for.

Probably. They keep adding games and extending the season. Pure greed at this point. Even so. Make it two on Sat. 3 on Sunday. None streaming. None Mon.
Pure greed? Or pure awesomeness? Games all day Sunday. A Monday night game. Not the NFL's fault for the weather.

I rarely get to watch the games I want. I could pay for Sunday ticket but I don't care enough. Same as the people who won't figure out a way to stream the Chiefs game.

Oh my god, YES!

Sooo much fake complaining about shit that they don't really care about. You see it with people that love to talk politics. Literally 99% of the shit they bitch about doesn't effect them and they don't actually care about it.

I’m going to put out an early pick here and it’s pretty low odds. I threw some money at Ravens beating Cowboys in the Super Bowl at +1400. I am a lot more confident the Ravens will be there than the Cowboys so I will be placing other bets for the Ravens alone. I am fairly confident they will win it. Will get into why later on. The Browns tomorrow are also a lock at -130, my only pick for tomorrow so far.
Browns pick not looking good
