I was always a skeptic of UFOs but wanted to believe we weren't alone every time I looked up at the night sky. The NY Times 2017 article changed everything for me. I've been following this heavily ever since and thought we were 'close' to getting disclosure. This is a stunning revelation in that DoD actually approved what he was going to say.
This is the podcast that Ross Coulthart (you'll be seeing him a lot in the coming days) and Bryce Zabel have. They mentioned that Ross interviewed the whistleblower over two days for approximately 7 hours. A news nation story will be posted tonight at 7pm central with clips from the interview.
In the interview, the whistleblower says "non-human intelligences". So multiple non-human species. The other thing that he apparently reveals in the interview is that the coverup has gone on 90 years, not the 76 years we've long thought. That means this stretches back into at least the 1930s. The Bob Lazar interview on Rogan was pretty interesting.
For me it still comes down to.... There is either God, or there are aliens, but there can't be both because I don't believe God would allow us to meet each other for fear of confusion / putting us in a position where we question God's existence....but the problem is I kinda do believe in both so I don't know what to think.
I dont see why both cant exist.
I guess anything is possible but to me it would just add to the confusion and doubt because I'm not sure most people could reconcile aliens and God both being real.... maybe I'm wrong
I think we're past that now.
I'm sure there are those who would freak out about it, but we've been desensitized to so much I'm not sure we'd do anything but make sure they didn't say anything "problematic" after they landed.
I'm just not buying it until I receive confirmation from Sir Yacht.
Well that would make sense then because i'm a highly flawed individual.
a) there are endless examples and evidence of intelligent design
b) the universe is Infinite… the chances of there not being alien life, INTELLIGENT alien life would be….. zero? Did I do that right?
I don’t know much, but I’m VERY confident that if there were real non-human beings visiting us that people at NASA, Space Force, the Air Force, and every intelligence agency would be using the situation to publicly ask for all kinds of tax dollars to support their programs and we would all gladly pony up.

I tend to take the Dana Scully approach rather than the Fox Mulder one. While I do believe intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe, I don't believe they've visited earth.

One theory is that's where a lot of the missing money from the pentagon has gone. They fail their audit every year and can never 'seem' to account for it all yet never appear worried. So either it's corruption, incompetence or it's being intentionally diverted to the special access programs.
I find it strange that so many UFO's seem to be able to navigate the universe and all the sudden forget how to fly when they get near us and crash at such an alarming rate...their insurance rates must be off the charts...I also have a theory that most people (and by a wide margin) who openly mock and deny God get real religious, real fast, on their death beds.
I won't touch on religion. Not the place for that. Anyhow, if intelligent life exists, yeah would have to agree they haven't visited. If they have that, means they have technology that allows them to either build a warp drive or can travel faster than light, or can do suspended animation. If a civilization can do any of that and make it to us, I find it unlikely that our govt could keep it secret if they even knew.
That being said, I want to believe. It would be cool AF.
Maybe not, and we'll never know while we're alive...but I believe they most likely are.
There are a lot of responses to the Fermi Paradox. On a human scale, space and time are too vast to think aliens have visited IMO. Unless, as you mention, FTL travel is possible.
If they have visited, a species capable of interstellar travel is likely too advanced to be able to communicate with us. Comparable to us finding a new species of ant in the jungle and trying to explain to them what the internet is.
I'm with you though, 1st contact would be cool, I think Arrival is the most realistic scenario from Hollywood.
There is a problem. The nearest star, hence solar system, is 4 light years away. If these aliens could travel at the speed of light it would that 4 years to get here, 4 years back. So maybe they've figured out a super duper system of fuel and travel. But....
Problem 2: Propelling a solid at the speed of light would take more energy than exists in all the universe. Aside from hillbilly fishermen there is a reason we don't have communion with beings from another world. Its utterly impossible even if they exist in spades.
Their technology may be advanced but they can't change the facts.
A more likely explanation is your government would like to distract you with this nonsense.

Well, propelling a solid at the speed of light is impossible regardless of the amount of energy you have, given our understanding of physics. If you are talking about say a wormhole, or bending space to create a shorter path, then perhaps, I don't know enough to speak intelligently on that.
