I could not name one recruit that Iowa got...but their head coach literally talks about NU recruits on an Iowa recruiting show.

The ironic thing is, Iowa fans love to cry about what opposing coaches say at press conferences. Yet our coach always takes the high road when talking about Iowa and the Ferentz klan, while Kurt can’t keep himself from talking shit every time a mic is in front of his face.
Over the last 20 years, Iowa has had exactly FOUR five-star recruits. Out of a possible 500 scholarship signees during that period. Four. I'm sure Ferentz would say no to one because they transferred schools to be closer to family, or to be closer to where they thought they were going to attend college. Yeah, Kirk.

Last I found that played in the regular season was Arvell Nelson from 2007, another in 2005 and Brad Banks in 2002. Not sure how much those guys actually played or started. 17 years is quite awhile for one not playing at all, in the modern game… 😬

As to this subject, I got to thinking, he may have been talking about one of his own recruits IF he was talking about anyone specific. Nick Brooks is a kid that transferred to the state of Iowa this past season after committing. He has since decommitted and rumored to be transferring back to Georgia for his last year.
In all honesty let’s not pretend that any of Iowa’s recent “success” has anything to do with their offense. They play great defense and special teams against lesser/like opponents. You could apply the same logic to water bottle people - “you know the hawks are 4-1 in bowl games with Johnny the water boy”. True - they were but don’t come to the board and act like Brian is doing a good job when literally no one on your board believes it to be true either.

Words you’ll never hear or read from an iowa fan, “As an iowa fan, although Nebraska has sucked since 2015, I respect the accomplishments and dominance of husker football from the early 60s through 2001 and realize they were still very good 2002-2014.”
Nebraska fans simply cannot relate to iowa fans and iowa fans cannot relate to us as they’ve never experienced iowa football at the heights Nebraska football legitimately maintained for decades.
