# of days after sCUm bowl game does the HC resign?

I’m guessing some of the frustration has to do with a lack of consistency in posting. Not you, just in general.

It used to be scoreboard mattered. And we have scoreboard. I guarantee you if the roles were reversed and we were sitting at 9-3 and Colorado was 6-6, but we got beaten badly by Colorado, there would be a huge number of pointing out the scoreboard and that we should just shut up.

Just gets frustrating that there are posters who are gonna spin it the worst possible way no matter what the outcome.
our win over CU this year was - by far - our best win with Rhule as our coach

as accurately predicted during this past offseason

If we can somehow pull to .500 against Deion, it’d be by far the best win of this current era. And a huge feather in our cap.

scoreboard absolutely still matters (on the field and on this board)

That is all well and good, and I agree that there are posters that put a negative spin on everything. But it is also true that there are posters on here who start talking smack about other teams and coaches like it was 1995 again. There is still a residual “But we are Nebraska!” arrogance that annoys me because I think it is precisely that attitude that hurts our program. What we need instead is a raw, brutal realism about who the hell we really are as a program right now and not a bunch of chest thumping bravado. The reality is we suck. And we have sucked now for a long time. The reality is Rhule has proven exactly nothing. Not a damn thing. Just a bunch more one score losses in games we should have won.

Beating CU was the high point of our season. I was so deliriously happy after that game I can’t even describe it. But the reality is that our offensive coaches were so awful that they ruined the rest of our season. And it was Rhule who hired them.

That is who we are right now. A team with a still unproven coach and a penchant for losing. And so I am not going to talk smack about any other team or coach. And that includes Sanders.

So what is meant by "the correct price"?
Vegas's own algorithmic view of where the market will end up

they want to avoid as much sharp action as soon as the line is posted as possible

for instance:

west va vs memphis

west va opened as short favorites (-1.5) and the line quickly moved to memphis -4, finally ending at memphis -5.5 at kickoff

memphis bettors at kickoff (mostly retailers/public bettors) failed to cover, while sharp early memphis action all cashed their tickets.

I can appreciate that as well, we need real as well.

Reality is, we see too much of both kinds of posters.

I never said the turnaround was brilliant or that Sanders is a wizard. I said he has done better this year at CU than Rhule has at NU.

Geez people are triggered on this board when it comes to Sanders. All I am trying to do is counteract a lot of the irrational hatred of him on here by pointing out a simple indisputable fact: despite their loss to us they had a better season than we did.

And please cut the crap about how easy the CU schedule was. Because we lost to some shit teams. And we were humiliated by Indiana. So I don’t get the people on this board throwing shade at anyone. We lost our right to throw shade at other teams A LONG TIME AGO.
I guess some people can see a fraud and the reasons it's fraudulent and others can't. Pointing that out isn't "irrational hatred."

And Nebraska's shortcomings have been well documented all year long. But we weren't playing the "what about this" game.

Also Deion says and does all the things everyone here wants to see regarding bowl games.

His kids and the Heisman trophy winner aren’t opting out - they’re going to finish the job they signed up to do.
Deion got Colorado to take out the highest insurance policies on both . But nice try on doing the right thing deal🤡

But their schedule was bad, bad, bad (#73 in CFB). They didn’t even play the best teams in their bad conference.

And as bad as we were, we kicked their ass, as did 5-7 KU. I think it takes a special kind of bad coaching to accomplish this with two high first round draft picks.

And stating that isn’t me glossing over all of Nebraska’s issues, it is just me refusing to buy into the Coach Prime hype pushed down our throats day after day, by the Prime Superfans on this board.

Of course they are going to play, that is what benefits “Coach Prime”. That has always been all that matters. If he had found another job, they would have opted out.

THANK You for posting this. I swear most people have no idea how lines are set.

It is crazy to think that way back in the day this was NOT done with the help of computer programs.

The book The Odds is a really good read on sports betting and it was in the early 2000’s, so kind of the old school. Fun to see how they try to keep betting down on some games they don’t feel great about and how they try to beat the public on some other games.

Oh thanks! I will look that up!

I remember my old local bookies in Lincoln back in the 90s jacking up NU lines!

USA Today: Huskers -41.5 vs Baylor

My local Bookie (Weekly Trader): Huskers -49.5

I remember losing so much money to this scam as a kid, I had to give my Middle School bookie my Newmann’s to settle up.

Sanders will leave Colorado when he's offered a significantly better job. That puts him squarely in the same camp as 100% of current college head coaches.

And while I'm really not a fan of Deion because he's a showboating blowhard, he's going to leave the Buffs' program in a helluva lot better shape than he found it. That hasn't happened at NU in this century.
Who did Colorado beat??? A lot of Colorado's success was due to them not facing stiff competition other than Nebraska.

Probably but that wasn’t the point of our argument. This is what make you nit a favorite on this board. You change your argument mid stream.
you're saying the only pure way to play in a meaningless bowl game as the projected #1 pick is to do it with no safety net?

who gives a shit if they took out an insurance policy. they'd be absolute morons not to.

they don't have to play but they are choosing to. must mean something to them. which is what everyone wants from college football teams/players.

I bet Ty has an insurance policy. Obviously not as large as Hunter.
