You are missing the point entirely. Sports fans in the Omaha -Lincoln area have limited options on where to spend their sports entertainment dollars. Actually they have no options…it’s Nebraska football ( and BB , volleyball,etc.) and nothing else.
In the NY/NJ market there are 17 professional sports teams playing year round. Numerous other options for fans to spend their money and attend games. Does this have impact on Rutgers ? Absolutely…as it would with any other college team.

I know people in Lincoln who have Chiefs, Broncos, and Royals season tickets. These are also Husker season ticket holders. Big deal. You act like Americans have a sports budget they can't exceed. Everyone makes a decision on how they spend their money or time, no matter what it is. Husker fans just make Husker football our priority.
