NU vs Illinois

How is it that every team shoots lights out at PBA except the team that plays and practices there the most?

Well, when you never get a hand up to even challenge division 1 players.... but hey, Molinari is a defensive genius!

Terrible three pt defense and lack of shooters by the home team. Our three pt defense was amazingly bad tonight. Illinois made 13 threes but honesty missed a handful others that were wide open.

Don't worry, one of these days we'll catch our break.

Nebraska with shit 3 point defense? You're kidding? :)

Well, 12-16 overall and 6-10 in the conference with a real chance of losing the last 2 and finishing 13th in the conference and having one of the play in games in the conference tourney. Not real promising. I said it the other day. I'm in purgatory with Miles. I probably wouldn't be pissed if they fired him or brought him back.

95% of Big Ten teams that start conference play 3-0 go on to the Dance. I just knew we would be in that 5%. If this team is loaded with talent then they deserve talented coaching. This is year 5.

To me, it would all depend on who we'd get to replace Miles. If we can get a guy like Eric Musselman (has NBA and international coaching experience, considered an offensive guru, has turned Nevada around very quickly), then I would fire Miles in a heartbeat.

If all we can get is another unknown, unproven guy from a mid-major school, then we might as well gives Miles another year.

horne still a turnover machine, roby a non factor, morrow dribbling to nowhere throwing wild passes to no one in particular. ugly, ugly basketball.

We'll finish the season with 3 losses in the last 3 games, and a 12-19 record. I don't think Miles is going to make it to year 6. Starting over...again. Ugh..

He will be a good one.

Guy who sits next to us shared an article with me tonight on how many head coaching jobs are expected to be open this year. It was a staggering number, so if Eichorst makes a move I sure as heck hope he already has that person lined up when the change is announced.

My feelings from the start were give him through the 2017-18 season and I stand by that. I knew this is about where we would be this year. Next year with 2 transfers and Gill back, there will be no excuses. Hoping Jordy and Roby improve significantly. Both have HIGH ceilings. My guess is we are tourney bound next year. If not bye bye!!

Next year will make or break Miles. With the talent returning, at minimum we need to be .500 in conference and be in discussion for tourney.

Ugh. Very ugly game. Don't know what to think of Miles anymore. This decision is above my pay grade. Let's just say if Miles is fired I won't be angry. On the other hand, as others have noted, we better not fire him unless we have a real shot at a much better coach.

I am still ok with him getting another year. But I can't get on the "who can we get" train. That's the same stuff people said about Blo. If it happens we won't be gettting some elite name coach. Nebraska has never done that in any sport.

No excuse at all but as I watched the game, even down 2 at half, I could sense a physically (and maybe mentally) tired team.

Yeah, that is always an issue. It will be interesting to see which jobs open and where NU would fall on that list. If it were open at the end of the season.

If Indiana opens...that could be the one job that shakes things up.

Why would NU be more tired than any other team in the Big Ten?

I think it's a damn safe bet Miles returns next season, so what kind of season saves Miles' butt next year?

Is a 15-15 season next year going to give him another year?
