NU-Indiana will be the Big noon game 10-7 PC Notes

BTW I think Indiana is a good team. I just think these games should be sold out already if your team is 6-0. That's inexcusable imo.
I root for Nebraska, so I’ll take the “your team” comment as you generally speaking

IU fans generally feel more passionate about tailgating than attending the games. Yes agree with 6-0 team fans should be showing more support

Their offense is not averaging much more than what the teams they have played are giving up on average.

Counterpoint to that is Nebraska's offense hasn't been anything special, but if the weather is decent I could see Nebraska having some big play potential.
Indiana has destroyed everyone they've played. I'm not saying they are unbeatable but their closest game is a 14 pt win over Maryland.

There are literally tickets available in 2/3's of the sections of your stadium from your own ticket office.

Tickets are around $50 elsewhere.
Haha!

The only way it is even close to "packed" is if 15k Husker fans show up.

This would be a road game that I would like to go, the fans are nice, they are not going to be lame, they know they suck at FB so they are just there to have fun.

Their tailgating and bar scene seem about as laidback and chill as it could be.

I have not been to Bloomington yet but pregame is totally more tailgating, right? Not so much the bar scene?

Well Rhule, you'll have to change some coaching duties around to even have a respectable chance at running the ball. Here's looking at you run game coordinator, oline coach and offensive coordinator.. Just stealing Nebraska's money.

Will you just STFU.

Something interesting about Nebraska's run game:

Last season they finished the year with a top 25 rushing offense, but only 16 rushing TDs.

This season they are on pace for 22 to 24 rushing TDs.

FYI - it’s a sell out

Everyone must have seen my post and bought up those tickets.

Yeah def more tailgating, there are large fields across from the stadium and assembly hall. If you get a chance I would encourage everyone to go to a game, Bloomington in a true college town and has a great campus.

With all that said I hope Nebraska wins by 21+. #GBR

I am totally down for going, wish I would have set it up for this year!

FIU (2-3)
W. Illinois (2-3)
UCLA (1-4)
Charlotte (3-3)
Maryland (3-2)
Northwestern (2-3)

So their crowning achievement is a 14 pt victory over 3-2 Maryland.
Maryland beat Villanova, UConn, and Virginia. Their remaining schedule will make it very difficult to achieve bowl eligibility. They might be a tad better than NW but it's close. The rest of their games they will be underdogs.
Bottom line is Indiana scored a lot of points but they have played the easiest possible schedule in the Big 10 to get to 6-0.
History also shows that when great offenses go up against great defenses, the defense tends to win. When the statistically incredible OU team of 2008 played the best defense it faced all year by far in Florida in the championship they scored 14 points.
If NU can play a complete game of 4 quarters I like our chances. Hopefully that point spread provides some extra motivation.

I have not looked at stats but isn't IU similar to CU? Just with a worse QB and worse WR's?
I believe Kurtis Rourke is a good QB. Not close to the draft projections of Sanders. Has he faced real pressure this year? No. There is a huge difference between standing in a clean pocket all game and picking apart the opposition versus having to scramble.
Their WR room is also not the level of CU's, which includes Travis Hunter who could be a first round pick as a receiver. I don't think any team on our schedule is as talented at receiver except Ohio State. Actually Sanders is a vastly better passer than Will Howard.

Don’t want to put too much weight on just one game but the whole Rhule 3 yr rebuild narrative is going to be a tough pill to swallow if Indiana who only won a single conf game last yr beats us to go 7-0 with a first year coach whose head coaching resume reads IUP-ELON-James Madison

I agree.

The "rebuild" thing is what a lot of coaches push so that they can get more time. Especially now with the transfer portal it is really hard to pretend that you need 3 years to get good ESPECIALLY if in year 1-2 you are playing a bunch of dudes that are 23 years old.

Years ago when a new HS opened up out by me, this guy I was coaching with who was a fantastic HC and is no retired said that if he took that job, he would pretty much start all 9th and 10th graders on varsity, let them take their lumps and in 3 years, they would beat the shit out of teams. Makes a lot of sense.

NU is playing dudes that should have been gone already. Nash, Robinson, Bullock and so one. Even on the OL you got some old dudes.
