no.Brent Venables- dude is not getting it done in Norman- hell of a DC
His defense has looked crappy more than once this year.We can thank Indiana for letting us not have to worry about this.
nah, I want fat baby ferentz for OLSure I'll take Brent Venables as DC and Lincoln Riley as OC. Might as well grab Sherrone Moore for OL while we're at it. Seems reasonable
Charlie McBride still has something left in the tank. I bet he would unretire for 1.2 million. He’s not 90 yet is he?Bo Pelini or Bob Stoops
Oh my goodness...best post of the day!Satterfield, he’s already shown how to stymie an offense.
I was in attendance for that game in Tempe, a nightmare that I wanted to soon forget. Details over the years have become less clear but seem to remember the OL was constantly overwhelmed.Two-time defending national champs go to Tempe with a new qb named Scott Frost and are shut out by DC Phil Snow’s defense. Awesome Phil Snow. Maybe.
The previous year we put up 77 on ASU’s defense. The DC? Phil Snow but it was his first year as DC so perhaps he got a lot better with experience. Also no Tommy Frazier on the other sideline. 🤣
That Arizona St team was legit. Just a whisker away from being undefeated national champs.I was in attendance for that game in Tempe, a nightmare that I wanted to soon forget. Details over the years have become less clear but seem to remember the OL was constantly overwhelmed.
NU set the (dubious) record of giving up 3 safeties in one gameThat Arizona St team was legit. Just a whisker away from being undefeated national champs.

That year ASU had probably the best defense in their program's history. Jake Plummer was pretty darn good at QB. And I will always remember Scott Frost calling an audible, looking at his wide receiver while a shotgun snap hit him in the earhole of his helmet. It was a forgettable night for Scott Frost and our offense. That Arizona St team was legit. Just a whisker away from being undefeated national champs.
Bubbles Ferenz is a good OL coach, but nah.nah, I want fat baby ferentz for OL
I'd take him.Brent Venables- dude is not getting it done in Norman- hell of a DC
SW Tennessee Technical Institute- is Phil Elmassian still coaching there?Illinois, Indiana and UCLA were straight terrible. I’d be really surprised if TW takes a HC job this year. Unless he’s cool with something like Eastern Michigan or SW Tennessee Technical Institute.
That game tells you how good Nebraska was back then. Playing at their worst against ASU's best team ever, night game on the road, ASU had a future NFL starter at QB. Everything goes wrong. And yet we only lose by 19 points.NU set the (dubious) record of giving up 3 safeties in one game
And they had a multi year all pro Hall of Famer O lineman Randall Mc Daniel. If I remember correctly they had another O lineman who played multiple years in the NFL.That game tells you how good Nebraska was back then. I was shocked that Plummmer didn’t win the Heisman. What a season for the Sun Devils. I remember watching that game on TV and their stadium was so freaking loud. That Arizona St team was legit. Just a whisker away from being undefeated national champs.
You're probably thinking of Derrick Rodgers, who was a consensus All-American at OLB/DE.They had a DE, can't remember his name. He just destroyed us. Tillman obv was very good as well.
McDaniel was WAY before that team. And they had a multi year all pro Hall of Famer O lineman Randall Mc Daniel. If I remember correctly they had another O lineman who played multiple years in the NFL.
