Next DC if White leaves….

Two-time defending national champs go to Tempe with a new qb named Scott Frost and are shut out by DC Phil Snow’s defense. Awesome Phil Snow. Maybe.

The previous year we put up 77 and nearly 700 yards on ASU’s defense. The DC? Young Phil Snow but it was his first year as DC so perhaps he got a lot better with experience. Also no Tommy Frazier on the other sideline. 🤣

I was in attendance for that game in Tempe, a nightmare that I wanted to soon forget. Details over the years have become less clear but seem to remember the OL was constantly overwhelmed.

That Arizona St team was legit. Just a whisker away from being undefeated national champs.
That year ASU had probably the best defense in their program's history. Jake Plummer was pretty darn good at QB. And I will always remember Scott Frost calling an audible, looking at his wide receiver while a shotgun snap hit him in the earhole of his helmet. It was a forgettable night for Scott Frost and our offense.

Illinois, Indiana and UCLA were straight terrible. I’d be really surprised if TW takes a HC job this year. Unless he’s cool with something like Eastern Michigan or SW Tennessee Technical Institute.
SW Tennessee Technical Institute- is Phil Elmassian still coaching there?

NU set the (dubious) record of giving up 3 safeties in one game
That game tells you how good Nebraska was back then. Playing at their worst against ASU's best team ever, night game on the road, ASU had a future NFL starter at QB. Everything goes wrong. And yet we only lose by 19 points.
