Nebraska Media embarrasing the entire state

The media can only do so many interviews with homeless people or gun violence in north Omaha or stirring the pot with the keystone pipeline so let's go down to Orlando in droves out of the cold and think of the most stupid question they can think of, sure shows they paid way to much for there journalism degree

So an OWH reporter Evan something asks UCF starting QB Milton in front of all the UCF media if he is going to transfer and follow Frost to Nebraska. Really? Come on man! Nebraska is a third party at this bowl game and UCF is fighting for an undefeated season and this is the question you are going to ask? Come on man, how freaking embarrassing!! (its all over twitter)

OWH should fire the reporter immediately.

Beginning to see what all of you have been saying about the OWH....well, it was never a good newspaper and I read it while growing up for many years and then.....it's not worthy of attention...

I don’t mind the question at all, but it’s all about time and place...and that was not the appropriate time or place.

It's not about timing of being respectful it's about who can turn in a story first, it has nothing to due with truth or validity they'll deal with that later. Why worry about the truth there is standards in the media not much integrity among reporters. In a way it's sad we have a free press but most members of today's media can't be objective they want their party and people in control. It's no different when we complain about espn playing favorites to the $ec

Nope. I remember the network releasing that statement. At a pre-determined time which was agreed on by the NU AD and the UCF AD.

Don’t let that stop you from trying to paint our program in the worst light possible with every post, though.
That is exactly right. They didn't realize the Championship game running 5 hours.

As far as the Frost to Lincoln announcement. Understand that way over 90% of the time the game between UCF and South Florida would have been long over by the pre-arranged time of the release. There is no way that any of Frost's players could have heard the announcement or even told about it. This poor timing really did not affect anyone or any type of outcome. This outrage is ridiculous! I also might add that is what I hear is correct (unknown for sure) Moos did not contact Frost. Frost's agent contacted Moos. Meeting was arranged. So the feigned outrage against Moos for lying is also ridiculous since there is no way of knowing by us if he actually told an untruth or now! But hey continue to make outrageous statements which you have no idea if they hold any truth at all!

NU fed ESPN that news. UCF was horrified.

NU AD said he would not approach a sitting, Coaching coach. Yeah, right Philly happened.

Your AD forever more, can be labeled an bold face liar. He lies to the media, he will lie to NU fans. Congrats.

False. That’s your opinion. And it’s wrong.

And while we are on the subject of athletic directors...... if anyone in your media is ever bored, have then ask Danny White if he was turned down by Nebraska prior to Moos getting the position. They’ll get the kind of answer that would make Bill Clinton proud.

And while you are at it........ask Danny White if he talked to Josh Heupel prior to the end Missouri's season.

I know the story, and don't care. Was using it as an example. I also think the question by the reporter was stupid. This is all a non-starter. Who the hell cares. Nebraska fans and media are creepy for hanging out around that program anyway.

I'm not sure what "story" you know. It certainly isn't the one regarding the world herald reporter. This WAS a starter. He asked the question to Mckenzie Milton.

This is what happens when the media members are also fans of the team they cover. Wouldn't shock me if they also stand for the fight song in the press box before games.

OWH staff claiming it was Orlando Sent reporter asking the question

You do.

You care enough for some reason to post "alternative facts" about it in several posts in this thread.
Alternative facts. Uh huh. Try "things posters don't like to hear".

Moos released at an agreed upon time. If for some reason White had asked Moos to wait I can only believe that Moos would have waited. I would assume that White as a fairly intelligent man decided to go ahead and let the release happen even though the game was not over because waiting really would gain very little except let the celebration be a little longer and happier! Also think of all the hand wringing being done by people that would have gone unsatisfied!

The people who are angry at Moos are the same dolts that thought firing Eichorst in September was a terrible move.

This is awesome. The same people that freaked out about the release time, and blaming ESPN when this went down, are the same ones that changed their tune when it was stated Moos approved the time.
This is freaking hilarious. Espn=bad Moos=good..... for the EXACT same thing.
You literally can' make that sound any more hypocritical if you tried.

FYI I had no problem with the release time as it was. I have said from the very beginning that it was an agreed upon time and that there was no way for anyone to know the game being played was going to go way past time expected. Game should have been over by 3:0pm CST and release time was set for 4pm. Anyone bitching either way just are not paying attention to the facts. Then people like you add other statements like you did.

Can’t

Moron.

If true the OP is Fake News...

Why are we beakering over when Moos and White decided to let the news out about Frost going to Nebraska??

It's water under the bridge....

According to several newspaper people on twitter it was the OWH reporter that asked the question. He even admitted to it on his twitter page. I am just reporting what his story, his twitter, and what D. Hoppen (spelling?) reported via twitter.

Why does that matter in what Moos lied about?

Because it leads to the credibility of the initial post whereas Moos was being accused of lying. We all know.....as even yourself has stated......that not all the time can AD's, Coaches and similar people tell the absolute truth because you are forced to do "coach talk" to be politically correct. This poster is trying to infer that Moos was out of line talking to Scott Frost when we know the National Standard of transparency and the approach he took was acceptable and well within the standard.

But go ahead.......add to your daily beating towards Moos and the Nebraska program.

Just like you did the entire time the previous AD was here. This game is fun.

Not accusing you of a bad post here....notice I posted " IF true".
