1) we are ranked right where we should be

2) Baylor sucks and is not a quality win. Just because they had a good team a couple years ago has nothing to do with their team this year

Kansas State boat raced the great Baylor.

Oklahoma has a chance tonight for their first quality win. Baylor Laughing

How one of the networks hasn't snatched you up to join their broadcast is beyond me. Why oh why on earth are all of the pundits disagreeing with you? (snicker snicker)

ESPN power rankings last week...

Baylor - 35
Minnesota -54
Laughing

Maybe Minnesota will surprise everyone and move up into the 40s this week. Laughing

This could come back to haunt you... seeing as Minnesota beat a decent Northwestern team and Baylor got beat soundly by a decent K State team... I wouldn't be surprised to see enoug of a change that would put Minnesota ahead of Baylor...

Northwestern isn't a decent team. They are below average.

The point is...Jimmy the Greek (aka dullard GBR) thought he knew what he was talking about, and the rankings didn't support his opinion.

And everyone knows the polls are accurate. You poor gullible stupid sap. Or maybe there's a conspirrrracy against you. Wrong yet another week, Jimmy.
You've been using the polls in your argument this entire time, and now that they don't favor your argument you claim they are fallible? Wow...

Um...Power Index is what I used, which uses data, not opinion, which is what dullard Jimmy the Greek (GBR) is using. This poll is more likely to remove bias.

"ESPN Football Power Index - 2016

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily."

Beating Baylor is no different than beating Minnesota.

Sagarin agrees.

Massey does too.

CFCC is added to the list.

Colley Matrix has Minnesota 28 spots ahead of Baylor.

Wolfe has Minnesota 30 spots ahead of Baylor.

Uh...Jimmy...how about next time let's see if you can outsmart a college football bowl, because the Sagarin Poll has Baylor 3 spots higher than Minnesota...and the Massey link doesn't work. Bravo, short bus! 2 links...2 failures. Does your toaster beat you in checkers too? Laughing

Do I dare even try to open the others, because I'm afraid I'll end up on some Amway site or something. You've really outdone yourself, chief..

So..That's one site that does 10,000 simulations, and the Sagarin Poll, that's computer-based, that both agree that Baylor is a better team. Thanks for solidifying my argument. Like shooting fish in a barrel..

Do we really care if we are ranked 18 or 14? What's it matter? Beat Iowa and maybe win a bowl game. 11-2 would be a fantastic season coming off of 6-7.

So you agree that Iowa should have a 60% chance of winning Friday?

Listen dunce, you can't be this stupid. READ THE POST, Sagarin will make sense. 3 spot difference?!? Yikes, dunce it is.

Massey link works, not in your favor. The others were part of the BCS. LOL at you not even knowing that thinking they're shady.

No, you're wrong. So much so, I'm beginning to feel sorry for you. Wait, no I'm not. Keep responding.

Sagarin Poll, that's computer-based

Don't weasel out and change stuff, dunce. Exactly what I said, "Beating Baylor is no different than beating Minnesota." #41 v #44 supports my statement, not yours, dunce.

Speaking of computer based, the links I shared:

The College Football Computer Composite combines five of the computer formulas used in the former BCS standings to remove the human element from college football rankings. It is compiled by taking the geometric mean of rankings formulated by Richard Billingsley, Wes Colley, Ken Massey, Peter Wolfe and Jeff Sagarin.

Hey Jimmy, when you can figure out how to post a poll without screwing it up, you let me know. Although why would I waste my time when you can't even post a link correctly?

How about we start you off with mastering crayons, then we'll move you up to a #2 pencil, then cutting and pasting. And what's with the multiple responses to the same post? Ever heard of a paragraph?

Still get a kick out of you posting a poll that solidified my point, and not being able to post a valid link. Jimmy...outsmarted by a football poll. Laughing

Oh, and another sterling example of your accomplished writing skills (below). Seriously man, give it up already. Speaking of being a dunce, something tells me you wore the dunce hat in English class all too often.

"LOL at you not even knowing that thinking they're shady.

Just a heads up... all those links worked for me just fine. Maybe you don't know how to click on links properly?

And apart from Sagarin, every other link has Minnesota ahead of Baylor, by a large margin. Since you are link-challenged, I will summarize for you...

Sagarin - Baylor 41, Minnesota 44
Massey - Minnesota 34, Baylor 53
USAToday - Minnesota 35, Baylor 53
Colley - Minnesota 32, Baylor 60
Wolfe - Minnesota 35, Baylor 65

So if you are able to work your computer and find some computer ratings to support your argument, feel free. Otherwise, you've got to know when to bow out. And since you don't, I'm gonna recommend that you do so now.

Get it right. Correction: The link didn't work until I poked fun at Jimmy, and he fixed it. I clicked on it multiple times, and it didn't work.

Jimmy, you gotta be able to post the link correctly before people can read it. Jimmy can't write...Jimmy can't link. Sounds like a song in the making.

Ya know, when this whole exchange started (2 weeks ago) Baylor was higher in every poll. Minnesota hasn't done anything to move up. We beat them and then they lost to a below average Northwestern team. They haven't beaten anyone of significance. Just an ordinary team. Baylor would roll them.

Frankly, I can't believe I got into another exchange with a complete f'ing idiot. Much like last time, he once again made a mountain out of a mole hill. A simpleton hard at work. Pure "non-sense." Laughing

When you edit a post it says when it was edited at the bottom... I see no edit to GBR's post...

And maybe you missed it, but Minnesota did not, in fact, lose to a below average Northwestern team. They actually beat NW worse than we did.

Keep digging that hole.

Edit: just so you know how edit works, Du. Look below.

Correct, they won...against a below average Northwestern team that you called "decent." You appear as clueless as GBR. Minnesota is not a very good team, and they wouldn't be able to keep up with Baylor speed.

You may want to try the edit feature. Look at what I bolded in your statement. Talk about clueless.

I'm going to agree to disagree. Baylor is not that good. I'd take NW and Minny over Baylor at this point in the season.

Yeah, K State is soooo much faster than Minnesota...

Case in point of what a simpleton I'm dealing with. We both know Minnesota beat Northwestern. I was Swyping on my phone, and it sometimes puts down different words than what I type. At any rate, I thought I typed that Minnesota beat Northwestern, and it ended up saying differently, as compared to you knowingly writing something and thinking it makes sense, when in fact it is little more than gibberish.

I'm going to agree to disagree. Baylor is not that good. I'd take NW and Minny over Baylor at this point in the season.

I definitely wouldn't take Northwestern, and would still take Baylor over Minnesota, despite Baylor's recent losses.
