Mike Riley probably has already told his staff that he is retiring from coaching at the end of this season. Riley made this decision shortly after Shawn Eichorst was fired. Sometime soon Riley will announce his retirement publicly. Rather the players already know or not is a guess. I'm guessing they do. Stay tuned.

So you think he would give up millions of more dollars just to save face, even though every observant person would know that he was retiring just to avoid getting fired? How is that saving face? He has already publicly stated he wants to stay here, he wants more time. So any announced "retirement" would be transparent as a PR gimmick.
