Oregon looks to be overhyped. Wisconsin looks average, Iowa looks like Iowa, and Penn State looks overhyped. Michigan looked like crap. Illinois might be better than expected seeing how they beat Kansas.

Ohio State and USC looked pretty impressive and so far Nebraska looks to be much improved, but overall the conference looks to be pretty soft.

Well we'll see how good we are by the time we play Ohio State and USC. Good measuring sticks.

Most of the top 10 doesn't look impressive either.

Wisconsin is funny though since they sold their soul. I wonder if Luke dosen't workout if they try to rehire any of their former HCs.

Yeah somebody on this board always says that then the next thing we don't beat any of them. Some look suspect for sure. If we can't beat Iowa this year I want to leave the conference.

Thought the same thing. Pretty early to be calling anyone an easy win. We just beat a team that has lost 9 of the last 11. Let's get by Northern Iowa and Illinois. At that point t there will be enough evidence to make some fair assessment.

Verdict is still out on Penn St, Washington, Sparty and than there is NU we know were better than we’ve been in 7 years..

Oregon and Michigan are highly over rated.
It took a field goal as time expired last night for Oregon to beat Boise State in Eugene, and that's after Jaunty, the Boise RB ran for 192 yards on 25 carries. I think Penn State is very good.
The QB at Michigan State is very suspect.

Let’s wait until we play a good team to decide if we are better, but I agree that based on yesterday the conference may not be as good as advertised. We may make Top 25 tomorrow but I’d rather we sneak up on some opponents.

Our chances of winning 9+ games seems realistic at this point from what I have seen.
Only USC and tOSU look good, everyone else is beatable, especially the teams on our schedule

10-2 regular season, with road losses to only OSU and USC might get us in the playoffs. Tall order for sure, but it doesn’t sound as crazy as it did a few weeks ago…

Likely that would not get us in. USC would probably have 1 or 2 losses as well as OSU. I'd be OK with just missing the playoffs.

Texas will make a lot of teams look like crap this season. Good win for Illinois, but let’s be honest they got 4 TO’s at home at night and barely won. Not saying it’s not a good win cause it was….but that puts their offense in some perspective cause it wasn’t a shootout.

If Nebraska got 4 TO’s at home at night they would beat a top 10 team, perhaps convincingly. Illinois scored 1 offensive TD off 3 of those turnovers (the other was a defensive TD) against a team that is not known for their defense in Kansas.

They never have looked impressive the last several years but yet we rarely could beat very many of them! Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin and so on.

It would depend on the score of those games. If they were close losses I think we would get in, obviously would probably not host though.
