Michael Jacobson transfer official

Just in the paint?!? Lmao.
I am sure they are lining up to play in an offense where the only touches they will get is after another missed 3, or the designated team scorer for the year tries to take the ball to the hoop after a 3 guard weave, and throws up a circus shot.
Hell, they are likely beating down the doors to Miles office! (Hopefully Miles is not out interviewing with another school again when they visit)

Probably about as well as being ranked in the pre-season.

I expect by the end of next year he'll be hanging out with Smokey and Ice Cube on the front porch.....cause it's Friday, he ain't got no job, he ain't got s#it to do.

It's not so much that Ed and Michael were great players...it's the fact that they were guys who played a lot of minutes, were considered hard-working and unselfish players, and both came from families that had ties to Nebraska. These aren't prima donnas who were mad about lack of playing time or being homesick.

How can you say they weren't selfish?
What's wrong with going to a school that isn't going to make you bang inside with guys 3 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier than you and let you work on your outside game? Oh and it would probably be a lot more fun to actually contend for spot in the NCAAs than go 10-20

I didn't say that's what happened here. I'm saying something more than style of play caused this. All I heard this past summer and early in the season was how great the chemistry was with this team and IMO it all went out the window the last month of the season.
I dunno, maybe they wanted to win?
Not defending them but you see,pm willing to accept any reasoning for leaving a team other than the obvious one: tim miles sucks and is leading them no where and they know it.

Was it the offense or some of the talent running it? It looked pretty good at times with Webster, Roby, Jordy and Glynn all in the game at the same time. I've seen KU run much of the same stuff.

Gee, I wonder if KU was 13th in conference in scoring offense and 12th in conference in scoring defense. I also wonder if they won more than 12 games this season.

th

Tim Miles clipboard after every time out. Would you want to play in this offense?

The point is that the offense works with better players. That's all. We scored enough to win more games than we did this year. The bigger problem was having a terrible perimeter defense in part due to being undersized in the paint when Jordy wasn't in the game.

So the posts are supposed to keep with unencumbered guards, when they blow right by our guards? Got it.

Is this the part where I call out your fandom and claim you are making excuses? Or is that just ok when YOU don't agree with someone?
You can do what you want. IF somebody is a fan of a team it is stupid for them to openly lobby for a coach's removal heading in to a critical recruiting window. It is even more stupid to be openly giddy that a player is transferring.
It is not stupid, it is necessary. Miles needed to be gone at the end of the year no questions asked but since Eichorst needed more proof of his inability to lead young men- here you go. He has the proof. Make the move and don't look back- certainly do not entertain any coach that has AAU experience and let's make a positive on our shiny new investment.

No. I support NU and IF SE was to can TM then I'll support him in that and if somebody cans SE, I'll support them in that. Until that time, I'll try not to undermine them on a message board.
I don't think that we're undermining him on a message board. I think these places are fantastic to voice opinions. Undermining would mean that we had a big influence in the decision & trying to force a decision.

The guys on 1620 were in agreement that do you really want to hire a new bb coach who might be working for someone in a year that wasn't the one who hired him? Point they were trying to make is if the FB season implodes this year does SE get the axe which leaves the new AD with a BB coach they had no input in hiring.

Which is one of the reasons as I posted several days ago why I believe that nobody was interested when they sent out feelers near the end of the season. If things go south for some reason next football season, all bets are off.

I think the main reason is SE by allegedly targeting Crean and whoever else was aiming the bar unrealistically high. Until we have sustained success we will NEVER get a HEAD COACH from anywhere other than lower level conferences. I'd bet it took Creen less than 1 second to laugh and say no.

The ONLY way we areally going to get a high level respected coach is if Warren Buffett makes a huge donation to the athletic department, and the Nebraska head basktball coach is the highest paid in the country.

I hope that Nebraska could get a decent assistant from a winning program, but we'd probably have to get them before they become a "hot" assistant.

People like to bring up the new facilities, well the worst thing possible that could happen did. New facilities for a new coach, and he couldn't/didn't win,. Don't think that won't weigh on coaches minds.

I think you're wrong if you think Buffett would donate to the basketball program. Warren supports lots of things but Nebraska athletics is not his bag as I understand it. Maybe Tom coaxed some money out of him for the concussion research facilities but I've always heard that he doesn't generally give money to athletics. It would be interesting to know exactly who SE reached out to.

I dont ever expect WB to make a donation to the Nebraska Athletic Department. I was pointing out just how much $$$$ IMO it would take. I'm serious that if we want a top current established head coach to come here, we will have to make him the highest paid in the country.
