Paging Tim "DingleFritz" Miles.
Is Glynn going to be able to afford the rent all by himself? Considering Morrow, Jacobson and he were were roommates?
What's worse than a dumpster fire?
Because that is what this program has become. Unbelievable after being in the NCAA tourney less than 3 years ago, without any major rules violations. How can you not fire miles at this point?

Geezus. This sucks. There is something seriously wrong going on here. 2 years and 4 pretty decent players gone. I was on record as saying I really didn't care if Miles stayed or was fired. Now I'm thinking he needs to be shown the door. This is getting embarrassing.
At this point, I'd rather just just get rid of Miles and let Kenya Hunter or Michael Lewis get a one-year tryout as interim coach. There's no use keeping Lame Duck Miles, but we're not going to find anyone decent this late. Eichorst screwed this one up big time.
Can you imagine how many players would have transferred if Miles didn't have such GREAT!!!!! relationships with them?
Sean screwed the pooch on this decision and now he can keep my season tickets as well. No way am I throwing away good money to watch this dumpster fire the next several years. The rebuild will be worse that when we got rid of Doc!!
Seriously, this has become a mess and the AD is in a really bad situation. First, he's shown that he will allow players to play his hand on coaching decisions when he let go of Yori, so he has that precedent in place. Second, if he does nothing, he's only extending the inevitable because this team without Morrow and Jacobson will get murdered in conference play. He's staring at a sub .500 season where the fans will get very ugly and could really turn off many fans who have been incredibly loyal thus far.
I think he has to make a hail mary, let Miles go (or pray he gets a job elsewhere), find another coach (good luck finding a game-changer at this point of the year) and maybe try to convince Morrow or Jacobson to stick around. None of which are likely. If football struggles to get to 9 wins next year, between that and men's and women's basketball, he has to realize that his job is dangling in front of him now.

Something happened IMO that last few weeks of the regular season.
It was evident that the team quit on Miles. Who knows. I've seen guys get in fights over girlfriends sleeping with a teammate causing somebody to transfer. I don't know if it was some disciplinary measure that Miles took that pissed some guys off or what. The style of play thing just sounds like an excuse. The style of play was good enough to beat Maryland and Purdue. This next year is looking REALLY ugly unless we somehow replace them with transfers that can play right away so the lynch mob will likely get its way. According to some of the experts on here Jacobsen should be easy to replace...

The admin has clearly just given up on the basketball program with the decision to keep miles.

First of all he really had no choice but to let Yori go and the players didn't have as much to do with as the attorneys did. Secondly, his job is dangling no matter what happens with women's basketball. His women's hire was a good one and she's pretty darned popular with boosters. Most boosters of substance know why Yori was bought out. IF he was going to can Miles he should have done it right after the B1G tournament. I can't imagine who anybody thinks we could get to replace Miles at this stage of the game. That is why all the cheer leading for transfers and canning Miles leading in to this recruiting window is just baffling to me. Some people obviously wanted us to suck really bad this next season so they could get their wish and see Miles gone.

Hey, if losing the team's leading rebounder, leading shot-blocker, 3rd-leading scorer and the only regular who even sniffed 50% from the field only hurts NU from a "depth" and "energy off the bench" standpoint, how bad can losing Jacobson be?

I was in that camp, as you may know, because I was unaware of the apparent malcontent happening behind the scenes. I can explain away Andrew White leaving when he thought the team was depleted and that he could enhance his NBA stock. I can't explain away Morrow and Jacobson. I believed completely that Miles needed the chance to see what the talent could accomplish by their junior seasons. Now the talent is leaving, I can either stand my ground and continue to defend, or I can call a spade a spade and change course. I was a Miles backer, but with these latest departures, a change is required. As our President says, I have flexibility and I am proud of that flexibility.
I don't have basketball season tickets. I live to far away to make it to games and it doesn't matter where my football tickets are at. I've had the same football seats in west stadium for about 30 years but usually can only make a game or two per year because of my profession and distance.
Because we need another guy to give Jordy a blow and BTW, Jacobsen was a better post defender than Ed.

Is this the part where I call out your fandom and claim you are making excuses? Or is that just ok when YOU don't agree with someone?
I'm pissed as hell, but I am laughing to an extent because some of us saw this as a likely outcome. But I have to admit, even worse case scenario I didn't see 4 guys leaving.
You can do what you want. IF somebody is a fan of a team it is stupid for them to openly lobby for a coach's removal heading in to a critical recruiting window. It is even more stupid to be openly giddy that a player is transferring.
