That is not championship football, I think the only way he gets rid of somebody is if they are breaking the rules/code of conduct by chasing coeds or being a booze hound

I don't think I agree with this, but we will see.

I just don't think he wants to throw him under the bus publicly since he isn't firing him midseason and doesn't want to lie and say everything is fine, because he knows we all know better, so he is ducking the question.

Well, I guess we generally have only won 3 or 4 before Rhule so I guess we can expand it to 5 since Purdue, FCS, UTEP, RUTGERS are trash. Beating colorado for 1 half is our super bowl.

Rhule’s OC is failing. Rhule is gathering evidence IMO to justify changes he already believes he needs to make. Objective analysis with this much money at stake is probably a good thing.

Rhule is a loyal relationship guy. To a degree Tom was too. He had to work with Charlie and help him early on to get him to where he needed to be. IF he liked you and thought he could fix your deficiencies he took responsibility to correct your problem areas.

Interesting observation. People forget that McBride struggled early on. Many fans wanted him fired.

Some of that had to do with the fact they were running an outdated 5-2 defense. Nebraska always got killed against good passing teams in bowls during that era.

I wanted McBride gone as well. Tom made Charlie a great DC when we got guys into the program that became difference makers. At the end of his career, Charlie was as good as there was at his job.
