Martinez up to 217 pounds

I don't know. Taylor Martinez bulked up a bit and he definitely lost a step.

T-Mart was a step slower in 2011 because of the lingering ankle injury - didn't have a run in Big Ten play over 18 yards. He seemed back to full speed in 2012 - the 92 yard run vs UCLA, the crazy run vs Wisconsin, multiple long runs vs Mich St. He was back to being freaky fast.

Muscle weighs more than fat. Not meaning he was. Adding muscle adds weight. If done correctly he should not slow down.
So a pound of fat weighs less than a pound of muscle? Weird.... must be that new math they’re teaching these days.

This is spot on. The idea that he was never the same after being injured his Freshman year is a total myth. He was full speed his Junior year and was fantastic. Too bad the defense was horrible.

Imagine TMart in Frost's Offense along with Kenny Bell and a healthy DPE added to our current receivers as well as Abdulah and Rexy added to the RB room and Kyler Reed and Cethan Carter at TE. How Badass would this Offensive line up be added to all of the firepower we currently have at all skill positions running the most dangerous O in the nation as now you have both the thunder and lightning. So folks buckle up as that is the caliber of talent the Offense will ultimately look like down the road and you know what we current have!
