Mark Stoops, Campbell, Urban Meyer or Matt Rhule will be Nebraska's next head coach

Whoever it is will be walking into a great situation because you never want to be the guy who follows a legend like T.O. ....so they' ll be following the guy who followed the guy that followed the guy who followed the guy that followed the last guy. The timing is perfect.

Yeah we can't even make to a bowl this year. Most likely.

I heard Mark Stoops wants in and he's already talking to Pelini about being the highest paid DC in the B1G.

(I've never tried trolling before, I'm not very good at it)

Don’t announce you’re trolling just do it. These inbreeds will believe anything.

If the Iowa WR doesn’t inexplicably fall down on the 3 yard line, ISU likely loses. Even so, Iowa’s worst-in-the-nation offense still could have sent the game into overtime had they not missed the FG at the end.

Remember……last year was supposed to be Iowa States best team EVER. Loaded with seniors, pre-season Top 5. Campbell led them to a stellar 7-6 record.

You don’t want him. Nebraska can do better.
I'm not sure Nebraska could do better. Your AD is a hot mess. Instead of firing Frost last year, he restructures his contract, and waits 2 games into this season when no one is available to hire. And then on top of that, instead of waiting to fire him on Oct 1st, he hands Frost an additional $7.5MM he didn't have to. He wouldn't be what you'd call the smartest bulb in the socket...

Agree he should have fired SF last year but now we’re the first one this year and can take more time choosing who he wants and what Nebraska needs..

Last year.
Riley went to USC
Kelley went to LSU
Venables gets hired at OU

You heard it here first.

I have a high level of confidence a strong hire is going to be made. Trev Alberts has been working on this all off-season.
The only strong hire is someone who run the ball like ND State. I was never in for the wide open passing attacks. I was correct.

I watched Urban Meyer this afternoon on the Big Network, He said the biggest obstacle with Nebraska is figuring out a recruiting blueprint. He said that has been a problem since joining the Big. He said for the most part Texas and California have dried up and that it is tough trying to move the recruiting grounds East vs other schools in the region.
As an outsider I guess I would ask who would be able to establish a solid recruiting network mostly based in the Midwest. Urban sounded like he thought it would be tough to re-establish Texas and Cali as fertile recruiting grounds.

Is Matt Davison in the running for HC, he appears to be in the know each broadcast concerning what’s gone wrong.

I have no doubt Trev has been on it. I knew Frost was gone last week, all you had to do is look at him on his coaches show. His face was imploded.

Iowa hawkkk trash wake up every morning thinking this is the day they get their Sally Field’s Oscar moment from husker fans:

only be be disappointed to find they haven’t earned any respect. Just a POS fan base.

We’ll take him if we want him. But I hope we do better.
Nebraska Football doesn’t have the brand it once did. The move to the Big 10 was a bad decision. Particularly for recruiting. Essentially, Nebraska football is Indiana basketball. Once a National powerhouse but now just an average program. Kentucky is better. Ask Wan’Dale.

Ummm. We are not average. Far below at this point.

Our image and respect are 100% in tact.
Wrong coaches is the problem.
Wandale was looking to be utilized differently than he was with Frost. Not a better program just bad coaching BIG DIFFERENCE
Last 5 years:
Kentucky 40-23
Nebraska 19-38

Kentucky plays in the SEC who has won 4 of the last 5 National Champions. Nebraska plays in the Big 10.

Youngsters won’t get it, most of them think 5 years makes or breaks a program. They simply don’t have the life experience to understand and it’s best to not engage.

So your point is?
Yes coaching has been the issue. BIG TEN is just as respected as the SEC take Alabama out of the picture and we'll it's absolutely no different.
Nebraska was the big dog of the 90s
Again our brand, Image and Respect are at 100% just not the coaching that's been needed to win
Nothing more than a coach who can win
Example Mickey makes a change on Defense Chins coaches safeties because he said no one in college or pros has 1 coach coaching secondary
Also practice 1 on 1 and tackling in practice that wasn't happening.

So I take it that you could care less about Mickey getting the chance to win and keep the job for himself?

This is why USC and UCLA to the Big 10 help Nebraksa, if we can get a good coach. Those teams will be in the same division as Nebraska and give NU at least one game in Cal a year, plus viewership for two games in SoCal.
A decade from now there will only be two conferences and the Big 10 figures to get a chunk of the West and maybe a Texas school too.

The rest of the names on this thread- no effin way.

Maybe Urban if he's desperate enough but he's a scumbag.

Nebraska is tough sell. Unreasonable expectations by all involved.
What makes Urban a scumbag? One stupid lap dance? Most of us had to endure the non-football BS of the Pelinis, and there were a lot of rumors around Solich and Frost. But whatever.

The 90’s was 27 years ago. The SEC has won the National Championship 13 of the last 20 years. Alabama (6) LSU (3) Florida (2) Auburn (1) Georgia (1). The Big Ten has a grand total of (2) in the same period of time. So, NO, the Big Ten is NOT on the same level respect wise or talent wise. As far as Nebraska and the coaching woes you mentioned, Scott Frost was a wildly successful coach at UCF. He didn’t all of a sudden forget how to coach. It’s not the x’s and o’s, it’s the Jimmy’s and Joe’s. Recruiting Recruiting Recruiting.

Recruiting absolutely
Ties into coaching
Frank didn't recruit very well
Coaching
Callahan Recruiting was awesome D coordinator sucked at Wisconsin and with Nebraska
Coaching
Bo lazy at Recruiting
Never won less than 9 games hmm how many blow outs? Bunches hated Recruiting
Coaching
Riley ha ha do I say more 50% coach in his career
Left Nebraska right at 50%
Coaching
Frost 16 and 31 disorganized looked unprepared just not very good and could not keep the kids he recruited
Coaching
As far as Alabama they went through a very long dry spell so did Notre Dame Georgia Oklahoma Clemson Miami Florida Florida State USC UCLA Washington Texas Penn State and a few others.
This all comes down to Coaching and Recruiting not branding or respect.
Nebraska had a 50 plus year run of top 10 and top 20 teams which is 1 hell of a run
