Liberty hires Hugh Freeze

There is a christian view and a world view. I for one am a sinner.. i do the best I can to represent Jesus Christ. God is making His appeal to the world, through me... therefore I try to let people see Jesus through me in everything I do.. I have also lived the other way where I didnt care what people ever thought of me or my actions or my speech... believe me or dont believe me, I believe its easier to live the latter part of my statement then it is to live for Jesus... but I would never want to go back and wouldnt change it for the world. Just my .02 I hope Hugh Freeze has learned from his mistakes and has repented only time will tell

Christian university based on Christian values, a religion founded on forgiveness, giving two guys another chance. Yeah I don’t get it. I mean it’s not like Jesus Christ hung out with prostitutes.

I mean I’d get the criticism of a Christian school like Baylor that covers up and lies. But a Christian school that actually is following it’s religions beliefs is hard to criticize. IMO Liberty did nothing wrong and people deserve to be forgiven.

A school in our town, of religious beliefs, hired a coach to run their athletics who has been shady several times with morals....I would hope it's because they ARE a spiritual place giving redemptive chances. But the fact that he has been a proven sports winner probably didn't hurt...

I suppose I don't look at people through the lens of "Christians I like" and "Christians I don't like" but rather people who do shitty things sometimes, but don't deserve to be blacklisted if they haven't commit a violent or harmful crime.

I'm sorry but after Penn St and Michigan St, most of these "scandals" are spilt milk.

you do lose your platform though as a "righteous" person when you do unchristian things. Sure, people should be forgiven, but actions damage credibility. Freeze should not be allowed to make millions working with young men after cheating and hiring prostitutes with University resources and money. There is forgiveness and forgetfulness. Liberty is being forgetful and irresponsible by hiring him after such a short time following pretty massive transgressions. This is an issue with denominational schools...someone very close to me was fired from a public institution for inappropriate actions with a female, and was immediately hired by a catholic school to coach girls. Then the head football coach was found to have had affairs with dozens of young girls for a couple decades...mothers and daughters. I suppose it is just the lack of public accountability.

You speak as if you were there first-hand, and took place in the conversations between the two parties. Just get off your high horse, this is no way is going to have a negative impact on your day to day life.
