Let’s compare common opponents in 1997 between Michigan & Nebraska

There is very little you know.. go back to the other thread and look at both teams offense and defense statistics..

There’s a reason why Vegas put the point spread that favored Nebraska by 7..
That dude is Prolly just a Gen Z spineless biotch!

The OP failed to mention that Michigan played Colorado and Baylor @ HOME! We played them both AWAY! Away games are generally harder.
When it’s 49-14 and their defense scored in the last minute on a offense fumble recovery.. Their offense didn’t score 21 points. Offensively they didn’t score 14 points till mid way in the 4thQ..

no it wasn't

if it was you'd see a "this post was edited at x time" sticker in the bottom right hand corner

you're so obsessed with me it's pathetic
Not if you edit it within a certain amount of time and you know this. I even went back and viewed your original post to make sure. But a loser like you will never be honest so who cares.

The reality is Nebraska gave up only 7 and 10 points to Baylor and Colorado prior to the 4th quarter... Nebraska led Baylor 49-7 midway through the 4th, had all the defensive starters yanked, and the Bears get 14 of their 21 in garbage time... Meanwhile, over in Ann Arbor, Woodson and the rest of Michigan's starting D are in for something like 46 of 50 defensive snaps... Nebraska was about to go up 34-10 on CU with 5 minutes to go before getting careless with the football... Colorado gets a TD with 3 minutes to go, and another after recovering an onside kick... Box scores and stat lines don't always tell the whole story...

Do these sad mother****ers keep reproducing or what? They are somprousnofntheirneelsedtive team that they cant help but join another teams board to tell us? Go get a ****img life you inbred ****s

Lol. What are we talking about here. Heisman winner Charles Woodson and the Michigan defense smothers Nebraska

This officially ends the decades long debate
Michigan never came close to playing a physical ground game team like Nebraska, they would have been pushed around all game long. Sure, Woodson would have made a lot of tackles 10-15 yards down field, but he would have been, like the rest of his team, on the losing end of the score.

Glad I could get you the real scenario.

Michigan played the buffs week 1 at home. Defense wins early games. NU played the buffs on the road the last week. Home vs away is a 14 pt swing. In Boulder above 5200 ft is worth a few more points.

The OP neglected to mention that in both common opponent games Michigan was the home team whereas Nebraska was the away team. Anyone who has played a physical sport at a mile high altitude will tell you that it has an effect on you particularly as the game goes on. Both Colorado and Baylor scored 14 points late in the games to make it seem closer than it was. Colorado scored late in the 4th quarter after a Nebraska fumble deep in Colorado territory then recovered an onside kick and scored again. Against Baylor there was a fumble recovery with no time remaining for the last score. In Baylor's case the scores were likely against a second team defense because the Huskers were up 49-7 going into the fourth quarter. All of this will go over the head of the OP. In any case, common opponent comparisons are rarely informative when predicting a head to head match up. Nebraska would have beaten Michigan 8 times out of 10 on a neutral field.
