There were rumors back then that him taking a position on the staff was contingent on Mickey Joseph being retained. Wonder how much things might be different today offensively if Mickey's domestic incident had not occurred and both of those guys were with Rhule at NU from day 1.
What is Peetz current role/title? His offense at LSU was pretty bad the season he was their OC.
I remember Peetz was supposed to be on board as QB Coach. But he has a bunch of kids and was weary of all the time on the road recruiting. So he said he would come if Mickey stuck around, because they were close and he and Mickey had a deal where Mickey would do the heavy lifting recruiting.

Yeah, or it was because he thought staying on with McVay another year was better than taking a QB coach position at the college level. He got NFL OC interviews a year later. Seems like he made the right call.
