84' my first experience watching the Huskers was the Orange Bowl against the U. I was 11 years old and still get shivers when TO went for 2.. I said to myself "That's my team, that took balls". Been a fan ever since..
1965; when our family moved to Nebraska. It was painful to see our undefeated Huskers go down in defeat to Alabama in the Orange bowl. Can you believe we were undefeated that year before going to the Bowl game?
Figures, just kidding,I will take any hair right now, regardless of color,LOL!What a sneaky way to root out the blue hairs. I started cheering for the team in 2017 on my 18th birthday. How do like them apples?

I'm pretty sure that is NOT true.....but I would not stake my salvation on it....Ahhh from my understanding the game was never Televised.

1970 at my aunt and uncles farm in Bancroft, for Thanksgiving...."reach Jerry.....rrreeaaaccchhh!"Early 90's I remember growing up and my dad and my uncle always watching the games, yelling at the TV. I remember my grandma always cheer for the wrong team. The huskers have always been a big part of my family since as long as I can remember. I am trying to instill that passion and husker pride in my son as well.
THEN i STAND CORRECTED...I went and checked it to make sure, looked it up with one of my older Press guides.
In 1962 the 16-7 loss to Missouri was on CBS and the Gotham Bowl was televised by ABC.
First TV broadcast of college football game was Oregon at Nebraska on NBC on Sept 19 1953.
