Yup. I had us at 8 before the season. Becoming bowl eligible is a huge weight off our back. Now just finish with two wins and build off that into recruiting.

It is a major missed opportunity because we have a very stout defensive line, and defensively(outside of the Indiana game--caused by 5 turnovers) we are a top 15 defense. Imagine having an offense as well that could ball control and manage field position and we might have had a top 10 defense. We have an elite qb, he plays much older than he is, we have been remarkably healthy, we obviously have two good backs, a good stable of wrs and a very friendly schedule. We could be 10-1 right now, should have 8 or 9 wins with the possibility of 10. The fact that the head coach had to fire his friend who has some of the worst analytics in the sports over his career just to get us to score more than 30 in a game means the season should be viewed as a disappointment. I don't really care, but I do feel for the kids...this could have been a special season if Rhule would have taken the job seriously.

A little progress on offense in LA. But still trash. This past game was great. QB could read and the OL looked amazing.
We have real high quality D lineman. Keona Davis (STUD), Lenhardt, Van Poppel, Jamari Butler, Elijah Jeudy, James Williams. If you can get a stud transfer great, but we have high cieling guys on the roster. Lots of young wr talent too. LB, check. DBs NEEDED.
I thought 8 was possible until I watched the UNI game. Our D concerned me in that game and still does.
Not after tOSU thumping them which I predicted they'd do. With our win and they way we won yesterday coupled with their beatdown at the hands of Ohio St, their game against us was nothing more than a fluke.
The secondary has been prone to giving up big plays regardless of the opposing QB’s skill level. It would not surprise me at all to see our defense geared up to stop the run at all costs—against THAT team in THAT weather—only to have their 4th string quarterback connect over the top for a surprise big play or two. In a low scoring game, that could be the difference maker.
UNI only had something like 40 or 45 second half yards only and held scoreless by the Blackshirts.

The shackles weighing this team down of winning a game like this when it mattered the most which hasn't been done since 2016 says otherwise as now they can play free and all hell is gonna break loose on poor Herky! WHOLE DIFFERENT mentality now as they now got over that hump and found out they could win a game of this importance unlike the last several years when there were teams we clearly shoulda kicked the living shit out of such as the 2 previous games against Colorado and the past couple of years against Wisconsin and Iowa as well as a Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue and others but always found a way to lose even when we had big leads. The game yesterday is a perfect example of learning how to win when it matters the most and these Seniors are gonna wanna keep it goin! People don't realize how big of a win this was for the mentally for these players as they just proved to themselves they could do it and now the sky's the limit as to say these last 2 games. Now they're gonna come out and kick the livin shit outta Iowa on Friday! Dylan is gonna rip that Chokeye secondary apart as they aren't ANYWHERE near as good as Wiscy's pass D as Sconnie before the game was ranked 10th in the country in pass D and now 13th after what we did to it!

Wisconsin's pass D was ranked 10th in the country going into the game and now 13th and they've played a far and away harder schedule than the Chokeyes have. They've played Alabama, Penn St and Oregon and look how they played against them while Iowa hasn't played anyone except the game they got beaten down in against tOSU. Herky is fools gold!
Apparently you didn't read my response. Herky's D is only good against nobody's as their schedule to date is pure garbage compared to Wisconsin's. The only good team they've played all year which is tOSU pounded them through the turf 35-7. Wisconsin has played a far and away tougher schedule, playing Alabama, Penn St and Oregon in which they had a real chance at winning the game shutting down their vauted passing game and offense down and held them to 1 TD and 3 FGs, something no one else has been able to do.
