And most of all, there is no reason to go to Mars.

A moon mission is only 7-8 days. A Mars mission is about 2 years. Big difference. No need to go to either.

The desire to explore our universe I guess. Survival of the species via interplanetary flight to distant planets maybe. We’ve learned a lot about surviving in space. Colonizing the moon and mining asteroids etc are some of the shorter term ideas. It’s above my pay grade but there is also a HUGE need to continue NASA’s mission for national defense purposes.
Stephen Hawking was right - we need to get off this planet. Not looking good at this point.

Maybe I wrote it looking funny. Zach Wilson banged his moms best friend and was a legend for about ten minutes. Then he started playing and looking worse than Tim Tebow and also throwing his team under the bus every week. Suddenly all his cool factor was gone. I have read stories that his teammates hate his guts. Then again, I have read the same thing about Rodgers.

Yep. GOAT and not even particularly close imo. As a Steelers fan I hated him growing up. It's turned into a grudging respect as I've gotten older.
