I Hate the Aaron Rodgers trade !!!

You haven't been in the playoffs since 2010. What's another decade? Lol. A-Rod will take you to the playoffs. You have a good coach and good talent. Give him a chance. What have you got to lose? You didnt give up that much.
We gave up WAY too much. The most I would given the Packers was to swap #13 and #15 and give them a fifth round pick. This draft has a lot of pretty good players in the second round. I wanted two of the first three picks (first and two seconds) for offensive linemen. That's what we lost.

Seems like not much to give up to easily improve the most important position on the field.

Wilson can fetch AR his coffee, which is about all he's qualified to do.
Right? They basically just got a top 3 QB for not much at all and in the process just turned the Packers into one of the lamest teams in the NFL

He's 39 years old and the Jets need to develop depth. Joe Douglas, Robert Saleh, Nathaniel Hackett and Woody Johnson are certifiably BAT SHIT CRAZY. This is as bad as the DeShaun Watson trade.
They better hope he comes to camp in shape with a burn to prove he can still do it. He’s a head case so I doubt that will happen.

The Jets gave up 2 2nd rounders for a HOF qb who was MVP 2 years ago. The Jets. Think about that. The Jets get to be relevant for a year.

The Packers have a 1st round pick at qb that they need to figure out if he is any good. They also have a pretty decent roster. Win-win for both teams. Not sure how anyone could see it differently.

Pretty much! Plus, I feel like AR doesn't really have a lot of miles on him, I know he has played forever but he basically never gets hit.

It's not a win for the Jets. They are overrated and they need to continue building through the draft.

He can still play at a high enough level to win and with the way the NFL protects QBs now he might stay healthy. That said, he hasn’t had exactly looked like a guy who is all in on playing football lately. That’s a problem.

Tom Brady invited players to live with him in order to win. Rodgers refused to spend off-season time with Packers rookies beyond what was required. Some people care about winning. Some people care about tripping their balls off.
not being nice to rookies and not inviting people to live with you doesnt really seem necessary for winning. imagine if michael jordan was nice to rookies and let people live with im so he could win.

I've been watching A-Rod his whole career as a Packers fan. When he feels slighted and plays with a chip he plays lights out. After the draft he felt he should have gone way higher. Boom. He wins us a Super Bowl and a couple leaugue MVPs.
We draft Love to replace him. Boom. His best two years and back to back MVPs. He loves nothing more than to compete and say "I told you so." I'm not saying he will win you a Super Bowl but he will get you in the playoffs. Once you're in who knows?
You act like you gave up the farm like Denver did for Wilson. That was a bad trade. A-Rod has 3 good years left.

AR is an idiot, the Jets are idiots and I can't wait to see both parties fail. That is for making me listen to your bs drama for 4 months.

I believe the Jets will not make the playoffs for at least 3-4 years.
You haven't made the playoffs in 13 years. Maybe you needed a change ya think? Your QB's obviously aren't getting it done as evidenced by the stats I posted. We will revisit this thread come playoff time. I'll be the guy saying "I told you so". I'm rooting for him to do well. It's just time to start a new chapter in GB. We'll see if Love is the man. Following Favre and Arod he has some Hall of Fame shoes to fill.

I hate Rodgers. he has tortured me & all Bears fans for his entire career.

but it's painfully obvious that those who think he's not 100% focused on football are sharing nothing but a personal opinion based on their own misguided feelings.

I have listened to every word Rodgers has publicly spoken for 3 years straight. he's as old school as it gets and is obsessed with winning. he purposefully removes every distraction in his personal life in order to focus solely on football.

he's tough as hell, never makes excuses, addresses everything negative (perceived or otherwise) head on. only speaks for himself, never sends proxies.

I have literally no choice but to respect him even though I hate his guts. he earned back to back MVPs and played more than half of last season with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. those slighting him for last year's performance are free to do so, but I wouldn't bet against him.

the Jets have drafted well enough to put themselves in a position to make a run with his addition.

this year's draft class is as weak as any in recent memory. only 15 players with 1st round grades. any Jet fan stupid enough to complain about this trade should become a soccer fan.

Amen buddy. Maybe it might tickle you, but as a kid I played SNES everyday and Madden '93. I played every team and I determined that Chicago '85 was THE best. I played as them as my go to for years. I still have a soft spot for that team despite not being alive for it.

In my 20s I played a lot of Fantasy Football and Stafford was pure money. Had Megatron and Bush, Abdullah over the years. So much fun.

As much as it pains me to say it as a GB fan, but that 85 Bears team was probably the best team of all time. At least the best D under Buddy Ryan. Sweetness on Offense and Fridge Perry. So many characters on that team. Super Bowl shuffle. Jimmy Mac. That D was flat out killers with Singletary in the middle.

No offense.. but you have a history of starting threads that don’t age well so I’ll bump .

Now start a thread saying Nebraska will win less than 7 games this season.
I'll start a thread this fall saying the Jets won't make the playoffs. Then one in December proclaiming I was correct.

fkkk NASA!

Yes and they just started rebuilding this team with the draft. And this year's second round has good players to continue the build.

We talkin about the Jets. Not the Steelers. Not the Packers. The Jets. Getting a HOF qb is a win any day for that franchise.
A 39 year old HOF QB and a sub par offensive line along with an otherwise average roster is not a win.

But you didn't have a QB!! That's kind of an important part of a team. Did you see the Rodgers numbers versus Jets QB's all time? I mean dude. You should be jizzing your pants as a Jets fan!!

So, when Rodgers gets your Jets into the playoffs for the first time in 13 years you will be pissed you were wrong?
Just the playoffs? And then they fall apart the next year just like the Rams did this past season.

I hope you don't build houses.
