If you are going to play your way out of the NCAA tournament, this is exactly how you’d start
Refs didn’t let the molesters shoot 67% in the first half
Would agree but when he has to play this many minutes what does that tell us about the quality of the roster.Sam's worst game yet.
That's what I have been trying to tell everyone for the last few months.Griffith is terrible. Huge liability on defense and he’s completely lost on offense.
And who do you suggest he play?
Should have played Janowski. He could at least knock down an open three. Ulis, Worster, and Sam can not.Would agree but when he has to play this many minutes what does that tell us about the quality of the roster.
“Has to play”Would agree but when he has to play this many minutes what does that tell us about the quality of the roster.
Yep“Has to play”
As a reminder, he has 2 D1 recruits redshirting and GG who Fred gave up on back in 2024.
Reeked.This spread absolutely reeks.
Redshirting them to keep their eligibility for someone else. If they can play and help the team, play them.Yep
I don’t say much about hoiberg these days but there can’t be too many major cbb coaches more hellbent on redshirting guys
They don’tWhy do football coaches get more blame for crap play than basketball coaches?
Losers loseThey don’t
Football coaches just dont get the benefit of a 30+ game regular season
And hoiberg is on pace to bring us to back to back tourneys - a bigger accomplishment than merely becoming bowl eligible
Losing this game is neither here nor there if we take care of our remaining business. Every loss matters in a huge way in football (assuming the goal is a title).
Yes, the Big Ten officials have totally been known to favor the might PSU basketball team. We’re shit on both ends of the court. But so are the refs.
I have no idea if you are great or the 2nd worst basketball player on Earth …..I believe youEssegian couldn't guard me.
Yep, all that matters is making the dance. They don’t

True but sadly it looks like an agenda when your team gets worked over and you complain about the refs. There doesn’t have to be an agenda when the refs have a bad game.

Okay okay...Gosh. DMYJesus dude? I probably said we played like shit a dozen times ITT but you gonna focus on what you want. The one post where I trash the refs.
Fair enough because I am a Nebraska football fan. My question still stands though. By all accounts this team played like crap and lost to a team they were supposed to beat and no one is blaming the coach.I think you look at things from a Nebraska football fan perspective. Kentucky basketball fan thinks the exact opposite.
I can explain to you that in basketball home court advantage is a bigger advantage than home field advantage in football..Fair enough because I am a Nebraska football fan. My question still stands though. By all accounts this team played like crap and lost to a team they were supposed to beat and no one is blaming the coach.

Had also heard PSU had not lost at home by more than 4 points. Were in every game. Early on this year were talked about like they were a contender to win the league. Not making excuses, but they were not as bad as they seemed. Also, was weird playing to 183 people in the crowd. Could hear people breathing. Morgan immediately being in foul trouble completely threw us off too. Similar to Gary last time out at NW. Ref swallows his whistle there early on, or maybe calls a couple on the dudes raping our ball handlers and they back off a little the game could look different. 8 to 2 fouls until the refs threw a couple late ticky tack bullshit ones at them with 10 seconds left in the half (or something like that, dont quote me). Again, we blew this game, not the refs, but not all is lost. yet.I can explain to you that in basketball home court advantage is a bigger advantage than home field advantage in football..
It’s always been this way because of closeness to the court of the fans and referees you could say get more influenced with the fans on top of them.

Game falls on both the players and the head coach.I am
Getting blown out by Pedo State is sick and wrong, on several levels. The sad thing is we go into an arena with little to no fan fan base there and get blown out out by a team with three conference wins.
we were 1.5 point underdogs last night.Teams shouldn’t lose to teams that they should beat and a sport shouldn’t have games that don’t matter.
This team is very fragile. They were never competitive against Purdue, Wisconsin, MSU. Looked lost for the first half against two of the worst teams in the Big. Brice and Juwan have to carry this team, and I worry they are wearing down. I feel bad for them: they stayed loyal and Fred failed to surround them with high quality pieces for their last year.Game falls on both the players and the head coach.
Players need to motivate themselves, it was like since the arena was empty they had no motivation which Hoiberg job is to light a spark in their ass.
I think we were favored by game timewe were 1.5 point underdogs last night.
college football is basically the only sport in existence that doesn't have games that don't matter, and even that is becoming less so with playoff expansion.
Everyone? Not even close. Plenty of people will carry the water for him because “we can’t do better.”One game doesn’t mean as much in hoops as it does in football
Super simple
If we have a catastrophic collapse everyone will be calling for Fred’s head
Wrong Penn St was favored by 1 is what my bookie had.I think we were favored by game time
